Most of the times you should reload if you still have paint in your hopper (but very little paint). So therefore if you play back this is good because you dont have to reload as much and most back man do not need to get very small profiles, so the egg is a great hopper for any backman.

consider that the eggy holds 45 more paintballs than the halo B. then figure out which hopper is faster...

Well, my HALO B holds 179 balls (yes, I have counted them in), so assuming that the figures quoted were for the hopper being absolutely full, that would mean that if the HALO B emptied in 5.47 seconds, it was feeding 32.7bps.

If we took your figure of the Evlution holding 45 more balls, that would mean that it held 224 balls (and it has been a while since I counted how many balls my Evlution 2 held, but 205 rings a bell, but lets use 224 anyway). Feeding 224 balls in 7.31 seconds would equal a feed rate of 30.6bps.

That of course makes the HALO B faster than the Evlution 2.

However, as both these feed rates are much faster than either loader can achieve in stock configuration, I think we have to assume that it was a pod full of paint that was used rather than a loader full. Which would give the rather more realistic figures: -

140/5.47 = 25.6bps
140/7.31 = 19.2bps

Who really needs to have a hopper that feeds 25 bps. You would only need that if you are ramping. In my opinion ramping is a form of cheating. You are firing more balls than you can physicly shoot.

maybe stay in the woods and play pump then. stay off speed ball fields and leave that to the guys who don't whine about being lit up.aka bonus balled.to each his own.
don't mean to be rude, but I'm tired of hearing ppl whine about ramping. My opinion is -stupidity is having the technology to do something but not using it.kind of like sports with instant replay.it would be stupid to not use instant replay when we have the technology.

I just dont like ramping, I dont mind if you can hit 20bps on semi but in my opinion ramping is cheating. I'm sure many people will agree with me. Also there have been cases that where people have used ramping and hit sombodey in the head so many times in the same spot and they got knocked out. That seems dangerous to me.

i agree it is dangerous but its a chance you must be willing to take. you must understand when stepping onto a speedball field certain things may or will take place. like bunkering is dangerous should we get rid of that? how bout football, thats dangerous, what about cars, ppl get killed in cars everyday.lets outlaw cars and football and bunkering too.it just never ends.we can outlaw everything or live a little. I personally love ramping, bunkering football, cars etc....it makes things more exciting.I don't think pb would be as exciting if there was no bunkering or ramping.it gives you more of an adrenalin rush. at least for me.
If i shoot someone at 10 balls a second in the back of the head i believe it will do just as much damage to the victim.thats well within the limits too.bottom line if you hit someone just right, it will do damage.

I dont like ramping but it is never going to go away. I also dont mind bunkering, I will agree that it does raise the adreneline rush. But I just hope in the future that they would put a limit on how many BPS you can ramp at.

In tournament play there already is a limit - 15bps. Perhaps not all leagues have settled on that limit, but the majority have.

Man I finally got out to play a few games with my eVLution yesterday, and man I was dissapointed. Since the profile on it is so big, almost every game I got a hopper hit. I am soon going to buy a halo because I am starting to play front up in the snake, and I really need a better hopper with a smaller profile. I am also getting an E2 for my cocker hopefully soon so I need somthing to keep up with my gun. But I just have a couple of questions on the halo. Can you use marbalizer's in it or is that paint to brittle? Also can you use a halo on a cocker( this is a stupid question but I just want to make sure)?

As long as the ball detente is in good condition there is no reason why a HALO b should cause the Autococker any problems. With an E2, with the eye installed, the bolt should close as soon as a ball enters the breech - with a fast enough ram to close the bolt, this would stop a second ball having a chance to load anyway.

If you are using Marballizer with the black swirl, the black sections of the shell can occasionally cause eye response issues with the HALO B.

save yourself a lot of trouble and get the reloader b for about the same price as a halo. But if you are thinking the halo is a smaller profile than an egg- you'll probably be disappointed once again because I believe the halo is larger and heavier...
