I just got my first gun and its a tippman a-5, i ordered it online so i havent anyone show me how to clean it and beacause its my first gun i dont know what the hell an o-ring,bolt,or striker is. Could someone please tell me how to properly clean my gun!!!!!!! Any comments would be great.

P.S. I know i can dry fire it but i dont think that will clean the bolt??

Check your manual. There you'll find a schematic that points out all the different parts of your marker and also the basic steps to strip, clean, and oil your marker.

what he said, also, oil up your gun! to oil, just put a drop or two in the asa (the place where you screw your tank into), gas up the gun, and fire a couple shots without the barrel

Just check the manual. Welcome to the site! like the guys said above just put a few drops in the ASA (that is where the tank screws on) and shot some air thru it without the barrel. Again welcome to the site.

Chances are you won't even need the manual once you learn what the parts are, internals on tippmanns are really simple and easy to work with, and lucky for us, really hard to screw up. Good luck and happy shootin!

erm no thats oiling it, if you seriously want to clean it, u can take it completely apart and wash the receiver halves minus the guts in soapy water, then wrinse them thoroughly and re oil everything as u put it back...
