Question guage on Co2

Hi,

I am sorry for a dumb question, but I am wondering if it is possible to put a high pressure gauge on a gun to determin how full my Co2 tank is?

Has anyone ever done this? If so, what pressure is full, what is empty.

Again, I am sorry for this question. A freind and I were discussing this. He has Co2 and wants to be able to tell when he is getting low.

You can tell how full your Co2 tank is by the weight. When his marker starts getting lighter he knows hes running out and needs a refill.

he's exactly right. There is no way to tell how much co2 you have left inside your tank by looking at a gauge. The only way to tell is by weight. The only thing a gauge will read (assuming it's attached right off of the tank and not through a regulator) is the output pressure.

I tried that on my friends gun....when the tank is full it reads about 750 or so. When the tank is almost empty, it reads about 750 or so. This confused me for a minute or too...then I realized that the tank was full of liquid....
