Removing the Feedneck

I'm using my strap wrench to try and switch my feed neck.

1) How much force should I apply? I've tried to loosen it, but I began to apply a lot of force and it didn't budge. What is the limit or what should I stop turning?

2) And holding the gun straight up, looking to fire, which way would I turn the neck?

lefty loosey. try as hard as u can to get the feedneck off with the strap wrench. if u can't get it off apply a little heat with a hair dryer and give it another shot.

Btw what feedneck are u replacing it with?

I bought a Redz adjustable, thought I lost it, but found it in a random pocket. ><.

So, I couldn't get it back then, and still can't get it now. ><

I've tried using heat, strap wrench and an adj. wrench.

It feels like I need to place the gun in vice, should it be this hard?

And at what point will heat damage the gun/internals?

lol damn 4 months later. U can put the feedneck in a vice. Just lock the feedneck down and twist the whole body to take it off.

btw u tried with something who has muscles?

I've got the muscle to do it, its the amount of grip required to apply the torque.

Now I gotta find a vice....

Update: Got it off. Used a big monkey wrench.
