ok spydy,im having a hard time changing to a .gif image.when im on the browse pictures page.i click on the file but it puts it in the box to chang e the avatar in stead of showing me the pic.i can pull the bar down to gif but when i click open to put it in the picture box it hasnt been changed.
no where do i see a save as to change it as you said above.please help.

I am having troubles uploading my avatar.
It's an animated .gif, 12 frames, and I was able to shrink the file size down to about 512 bytes. Very small.
I put it in my Photobucket account, the tried to put in it my avatar. The control panel says, and I quote, "Your file of 16.5 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 10.0 KB for this filetype." The file size is half a kilobyte. That's 1/20 of the limit.
Help please.

I think the format of the website has changed since this sticky was originally posted. I'm following the same basic process but I keep getting an invalid file error when I try to upload the avatar from my computer. It is a JPEG and I resized it to 60x60. Can anyone offer any help.

lol did u read my post? lopez knows of this issue. it happens to some but not to everyone. as soon as we switch to a more dedicated server or whatever it will be fixed. then the hall of shame and some other crap we been demanding for a year. be patient stuff will happen
