2003 B2k w/ PDS

1st. stage:

-Dye Sticky-3's

This is when I first got my b2k. Everything is stock cept grips.

2nd stage:

- Dye Ultralight 14" .689
- Bob Long Torpedo
- CIP Unimount
- O-ring Detent Mod
- Blue LED Mod

O-ring Detent mod

All I did for this mod was cut a mm thick peice of macroline and put it in my detent. This helps prevent double feeding which is common when using force fed hoppers. (Reloader B, Egg2, Halo B)

Blue LED Mod

1. Go to radioshack and buy a 5mm LED color of your choice.

2. Snip the leads on the new LED so they are about 5 mm long.

3. Take off your grips and board.

4. If you have PDS, then you must take your eye covers off or you will pull a wire when you take off your tray.
If not, take off your tray and frame from the body while being careful not to pull out the wires from the noid.

4. Locate the old LED and pull it out from the hole.

5. Once you have your old LED located, you will notice that there's shrink wrap where the wire is connected to the led. You can either snip the wires off where the wires meet the LED, or you can carefully take the shrink wrap off with mini-pliers, then use a soldering iron to heat up the old solder until the LED breaks free.

6. Now that you have your old LED off, take wire strippers and strip a bit off the wires.

7. Take your new LED, and solder your wires to the leads.

8. Now would be a good idea to put your board and battery back on when doing this. So Then before you solder the wires, you can find out if you're connecting the appropriate leads with the appropriate wires.

9. Once you have the wires soldered on, take either shrink wrap or liquid electrical tape and cover the soldered joints. This will insure a good connection.

10. Finally, pop your new LED back into the hole and reverse the steps to put your marker back together.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

4th stage:

-Dye Sticky 3's
-Dye Ultralight 14" .689
-Bob Long Torpedo
-CIP Unimount
-O-Ring Detent Mod
-Blue LED Mod
-Vapor Valve
-CCM No-Rise Clamping Feedneck
-Centerflag 68/4500 (in mail)
-Eggy2 Y-board

Coming Soon:

- Halo B
- CP shorty reg (in mail)
- Quick Disconnect noid/eye wires
- MacDev Gauge

Clear Battery Door Mod:

This mod is for those who have a battery door cover and don't like it or would like to try something different. I have a b2k2 cover, so people would get confused and think it's a b2k2.

Materials:

- Dremel Tool
- Screw Driver
- Some type of hard plastic (plexiglass) I used a hockey card case.
- Nail file or any kind of file.
-Sharpie Marker

1. Take your battery cover off your ICD marker using a small screw driver. Be careful not to drop the screws into the marker.

2. Take your battery cover, place it over the piece of plastic you used and trace the battery cover over the plastic.

3. Using your dremel tool, follow the lines you traced. It doesn't need to be perfect since you can always go over it with a file.

4. After you've made the final touches to it with the file, it's time to make two holes on opposite sides. For this, just find a small round head bit for your dremel and drill it through each marked dot where the holes will be. When you're done it should look like this.

5. Finally, screw it back on where the old cover used to be and you're done!

BUMPER MOD

well i noticed that alot of people have benn chopping with b2k4 with and with out pds so i made this in a thread, but since some of people have this problem i decided to make a seaperate thread for this matter. well here it is
this is how i did my roll back mod i will show pics

1st remove the ram cap off the ram Assembly

2nd
remove spring guide and spring from ram cap

This is the order that you assemble it back in remember you only have one # 16 o ring in the ram cap i added two extra but it might vary from how sever your roll back is.

3rd
got some #16 o-rings at your local home depot or hardware store

Then place the o-ring in 1st ahead of the spring guide and spring like the 1st picture on step 2.

LAST STEP
put it back together in the RIGHT order

This is how mine looks now

Hoped that helped alot of ppl of the quest to a chop free game

If you're lazy like me, you can get one of those rectangular pencil erasers, then cut a thin, even slice with an exact knife or a really sharp kitchen knife. Get a hole puncher and voila! You've not got spacers that fit in your ram. It might work for the o-ring detents depending on the size of your hole puncher. Honestly, i think that's easier than cutting the eraser off of a number 2 pencil for some reason. Other things that work is sheets of neopreme (which is probably more durable) but a pain in the butt to get down to the right width.

Unless you get rings that fit around the ram saft....thats what i did...works great.

Now onto my mod--

O-Ring Bolt Mod

~remember, you screw up your stuff, its your fault. Im not responsible for any harm that comes to you or your marker.

Best way: Useing a lathe mark the places where you want the rings and then take off enough to fit your orings in snug and enough the stick out so they work.

Orings to use: Go to your hardwear store. pick an oring that slips on over the bolt....then get 2 sizes down and use thoes. Its what i did atleast.

Now for the iffy way that i did my mod:

Matterials: 2x Sharpie
Drill
dremel w/ cutting wheel
Steady hand.

Step 1:take the clip off of the sharpie so its just the cap and marker w/ out the clip.

Step 2:insert back end of sharpie into drill and secure. MAKE SURE IT IS VERY STRAIGHT AND WHEN POWERED ON DOES NOT WOBBEL! it will take time but in the end it is definatly worth it.

Step 3:Slip the bolt on to the face of the sharpie so it doesnt slip around. Once again MAKE SURE THERE IS NO OR VERY MINIMAL WOBBLE.

Step 4:spin the bolt by turning the drill on to a low rpm. mark the bolt where you want the rings useing the other sharpie. stop the spinning. does it look straight and uniform? if so continue. if not adjust your bolt and sharpie so you DONT HAVE WOBBEL!

Step 5: use the dremel to take off little by little the delren. when the sharpie isnt visible stop and try the ring on. Remark the slot and take off and check again. Repeat this untill you get the right depth. If you get any where near the inside surface of the bolt stop. if you breach this you could render your bolt useless.

Note: be patient. Go slow. Make the effort to get no wobbel. you wont be disapointed.

Once again--Dont do this if you feel nervous or uncapeable. I am not responsible for what you do to your gun, bolt, Person while attempting this mod.

Have a better way? tell me and ill change this.

This is an idea to do the oring bolt mod..it hasnt been tried yet...Put your handheld drill in a vise and find a drill bit thats the same size as your o ring your using then turn the drill on using rubber bands or something to press the trigger and all you have to do is rotate your bolt while its touching the drill bit...and of course marking ur bolt with a marker would be a good idea...I havnt tried this out yet but i think it would be a lot easier and you wont have to risk going off course with your dremel.. Well i hope this helps

This is an anti rollback mod, but the difference between this and other one is that it stops the balls from actually rolling into the bolt face

Steps

#1 Get a sharpie and mark 2 points on the very tip of the bolt on opisite sides.

#2 Get 1/16 drill bit, and drill through the dots that you made.

#3 Get an oring with a thickness of 1.16 and cut it in half and stick through the holes.

#4 Cut off exess of the oring, and glue with super glue in place.

And it should end up looking like this.

that is essentialy what i did...but i was spining the bolt with the drill and cutting w/ dremel.

1. for older bushy with the 2 LPR holes:
Take a dremmel and connect the 2 holes into 1 line. Now u can use a quarter or a flathead screwdriver - that's what i did

2. If u have a blind bolt and the ball detent tension is too soft:
Cut about 1/8 " of a ball pen spring and just add it up to the original spring. It'll make the bolt to hold the bolt pin tighter.
3. i did the bright red LED.
4. 25 mg microswitch.

also not in pic is FS feedneck and FS ASA.
