Lense question

Hey guys, I have owned a JT Proshield since last Christmas(09)(Current:Feb 10/10) and have not changed the lenses. I have only gone out to play about 2 or 3 times this year (low on money unfortunetly), should I go buy new lenses? Or stick with my old ones.

are you asking if they are still safe? I would say as long as they were kept in a controled enviorment like in your house they should be fine.

unless the lense is cracked, it should be safe. the rest just depends on how scratched it is and if you can see well, otherwise no need to replace it.

thanks alot guys, im just a little paranoid when it comes to lenses, the reason is that the manual says to change afer a year, and i am a paranoid person. lol

jt says every year, but this is also so they get their 30 bucks per person that buys into it. I only replace mine when they crack,thermal insert rips,get to beat up to see through. Needless to say, Ive only replaced 2 JT lenses in last 10 years... then again I dont use alot of those masks anymore, my proflex's which Ive had 1-2 yrs I havnt replaced yet and thats what Ive been using.

If isn't cracked is safe? I guess they don't have date expiration dates on them...

no if it is cracked it is time to replace ,you dont want to take a chance there the only eyes you got. Rember when your mom said you can put a eye out with that think, in this case she was right.
