If you get a back bottle Phantom, the tank will come down at about a 10* angle (total estimation on that one) If you get a butt stock for your tank, it should rest right on your shoulder while making the gun still feel very natural.
Both types of grips come with the same length of barrel, but I honestly dont reccomend the 14inch barrel. It is rather long, and kinda takes away from the compact design of the Phantom. I use 14inch barrels on my semis, but just cant do it with my Phantom.

You want a rifle like Phantom? Why not ask Punisher to make you one?

$375 to convert your phantom to a rifleman. you have to supply the phantom too. but from what i hear of punisher, its all worth it.

I'm a bit confused here..., why is the backbottle more efficient on 12 gram cartridges than a Vertical Stock Class?

because the air is almost directly where it needs to be whereas the vsc it must travel a little bit
only way i can think of telling it without "smart" words lol sry

Hmm, I wonder if a check valve could be installed in a VSC just above the 12 gram adapter..? That'd get you more shots when switching 12 grams..

Check valves don't really give you more shots, just save you one or two when you empty the bucket. I run one with my twelvies sometimes, though.

Thing is, when you dump a 12 gram, you lose all the air in the gun that hasn't been fired, so the air in the valve, the airlines etc. If you were to check valve directly above the 12 gram adapter, you might get a few more shots off?

Like I said, you're not getting more shots per se. When the twelvie is empty, it's empty. The purpose of the check valve is to retain about two shots worth of co2 so that you may fire while changing twelve grams, if necessary. It doesn't give you more available shots, just allows you to empty the bucket in stickier situations.

Pretty much what Oni said. But I do understand where Hob is coming from. If you have a check valve, you arent wasting any additional air when you unscrew your 12gram. But, you wont get more shots per gram of CO2.

Darn, thought I had though of somthing useful there, lol.
Why exactly does CCI make phantoms the way they do without a bobbed valve if it is a useful thing to have? I mean, Mike doesn't hold back on making everything else as perfect as it can be, so why that..?

Because bobbed valves give you a few extra shots, but they also can starve the marker if you're firing faster. The normal valve appeals to more people as it isn't very picky about your firing speed, and the difference in shots isn't a huge number.
Reliable and a few less shots, or slightly less reliable and a few more shots. Take your pick.

Again, as Oni said, they both kind of even eachother out as far as advantages go. If your playing stock class though, and your not a big shooter, a bobbed valve may be the way to go, but if your using a hopper, and your going to be using autotrigger, definatly stick with the regular valve.

Aha! Thanks Jeremy, I was sure that I spelled that wrong, but I never could get the right spelling, because whenever he responds, he just writes MC or Mike C.
