proto slg problems

when im just dry firing my gun with the eyes on i cant go above like 8 bps, but when my eyes are off i can hit anything, help please

If the eyes are on and you're drying firing the gun shouldn't even fire. Dry firing with eyes off makes it seem like you're shooting faster only because there's no waiting for paint to feed, the gun is just cycling.

i dont have the air hooked up and my finger is down the feed neck blocking the eyes

And there's your "problem" right there. Air it up, shoot some paint and it'll change, if it doesn't take a look at your board settings. Just sticking your finger down the feedneck won't give you a sense of anything other then the eyes are working.

The eyes look for a break between the shots for the ball dropping in your chamber. If you have your finger in the breach it won't see the break and it will think your eyes are dirty. It limits the rate of fire if it thinks your eyes are dirty.
