2k5 timmy question
why is the 2k5 timmy so much cheaper than other timmy's. i.e. alias, ripper, empire, etc. Because i've heard a lot of people say all timmy's are the same except for milling, and most timmys are about $1000-$1100 except for the 2k5timmy, it's only about $700? so what's the difference?
also how's the defiant pair up against the 2k5 timmy?

It's not Alias-platform. It's just a 2k5ed 2k2.
It can't accept Alias eye covers, ram, bolt, ram sleeve. You can install an Empire front black or a Alias front block (with drilling and tapping.)

Those are 2k2 based and have the non-LCD frame and boards. The frame isn't pushed forward like the 2k5, Empire, and Alias frames are.

Dragons are nicer then Species. Though I think you would turn heads with a Species, I don't think the milling was popular at all.

the species has some odd milling on it that sets it apart from every other timmy. i heard its the most accurate because of the milling but i highly doubt it. also, its completly sealed whick is nice for sliding, drping, etc. ill keep my eyes out for an lcd or led for cheap, but ill proly just buy new

Actually, the Dragon and the Species are touted to be the most accurate for the way that they are made. I will leave this logic to Tabris to explain.

Thank you. *puts on his professor glasses*
The species and dragon are milled from a solid block of aluminum, meaning there is more control and accuracy when they bore it and then mill it. Where as some of the newer timmies are 'hollowed' out around the ram sleeve instead of being bored straight on through, this allows room for error for in certain areas.
While it may not me a visible difference when looking straight down, a few microns can throw off the accuracy just a tiny bit. The bolt to barrel breech is bored just like the ram sleeve but look at it this way, if the ram area and bolt/breech are milled out of a solid block of aluminum their is a higher chance they will line up better then on the other timmys.
This is the theory though but I can vouch for the Dragons' accuracy and ability to throw paint like the beast it is. I was even surprised at how accurate it was the first time I was able to fire it. While I need to work on steadying my hand while firing I was still making shots I was not able to make with my other markers, simply because of how stable the marker itself is in it's accuracy ratio. Head shots and barrel shots count, remember that.

Extrusion, boring, milling, all the same in my mind just the words don't match up to the picture sometimes
Let us know how the Species is, never held one but I've seen them once hanging on a wall but not in play. Hopefully it'll fire just like a Dragon, and it'll never let you down.

www.actionvillage.com is running sweet deals on timmys. But the Dragon and Species are expensive there, that's the only thing I feel. 950 for a dragon or Species.
