Noone will belive this but its worth telling. My cousin got shot in the eye with a gummy bear (it wasnt frozen) and he is now blind in that eye. It was before i started playing but it really made me mad because it was my last gummy bear. Go ahead laugh everyone does, it is kind-of funny but it really sucks.

ehhh. i did somethign REALLY stupid today. so im messing with my new ion, i tune the trigger to less than a millimeter of pull. well, somethign with the eye wasnt right, or my reloader pushed a ball past the detent so im taking my barrel off. well, i get it off and the gun slips in my hand. well, natrually the tank side (the heavy side) goes down, and the breech is up. and i accidentally hit the trigger in this motion. well it went off and hit right above my eye, it didnt really hurt, the barrel was off so the FPS wasnt high, but it still happened..i think from now on im wearing a mask when i plink.

Why would the FPS be any different w/ the barrel off? Make sure your safety is on when you are tuning/fixing your gun. ANd your hopper should've been off too. BUt that'ss in retrospect, make sre next time. Safety first!

the barrel is the acceleration chamber for the paintball. More accelleration = higher fps.

btw, eye is getting better. I was able to kind-of read a magazine cover the other day, so vision is improving slowly still

I still play, in fact I played 2 days after the incident. And I DO wear a mask during play. This happened during a tech session--we weren't playin till that saturday (it was thursday).

im luck i guess, i waz tweakin my marker before a senario at mt carn it waz tilted up and LOADED(never tweak when loaded) it when off luckily if waz tiled where nothin waz in tha chamber, reguardless, WEAR YOUR FRIGGIN GOOGLES.
