Both are nice...I'd say the timmy because egos are loud and prone to massive bounce with the optical trigger. Alias is better for the money with more available parts and upgrades to customize it to your liking(trigger, board, etc).

I say timmy cause to be honest the markers are going to have similiar performace. So you may as well go for the cheaper one with more upgrade otptions.

Both are equal, Ego's have less kick and are lighter, but Alias's are quieter and have more upgrades. I don't really see how more movable parts is better; they're just more things to malfunction. And having recently looked at prices, both a BNIB Alias and BNIB 05 Ego sell for $950. If you can find either one cheaper than the other, purchase that. You won't be disappointed.

I guess if thier the same price just buy which everyone feels better. I would probably take most high end markers over the ego just because i find the ego trigger difficult to walk and the frame feels kinda funny. I however absolutly love timmys and trix (4 and up) frames, specialy that new UL frame. It really comes down to preferance man.

Two different markers in one mind, try them out. That's the only way that you'll find out.

They both are actually the same marker in operation and delivery. Just different makers and bodies. Try em both out.

I know everyone hates NMEs but they are great guns for $600 now heh
Weighing at 2lbs 14oz... not that heavy for a front.

...and yes I know it isnt a choice. I am just giving my opinion

Shoot them both and see. If it was me, I would go for the timmy. The Ego's are awesome though.

Yeah, I like the nme. I'd rather have a timmy but, if you dont have enough money the nme is similiar to an intimidator.

Oddly enough I had the sam question.
I chose the ego
mostly because: I liked the feel of the ego, it was cheaper, lighter, and in my opinion better quality.
sakworldpaintball has egos for $900 with free conrast kit.
firstcallpaintball has egos for $850
an alias intimidator runs about $945
they are both amazing guns, i have to say the timmy has a little better feeling to the trigger to me. but the ego is also amazing
so it all comes down to pregerance shoot or hold both if you can, no matter what you will turn out with a beautiful gun.

hope you like your choice

I think that it would come dwon to personal prefrance(sp). Since they are both about the same technical wise it would just be which one you like the best.

I think since you play front/mid the ego would be better because of the weight. The timmy would probably be better for a backman becuase of the trigger.

Again, comes down to personal preference. The trigger feel is what you think is a downside, some other's don't.

I would go with the EGO, most professionals have skipped from angels/cockers to the EGO. and the NME (not LE) weighs 3 pounds im not sure about the NME LE but im positive the first version weighs three pounds, they're heavy (not really just compared to shockers)

So you prefer to jump on bandwagons huh? Keep in mind that there are some pro and semi pro teams that use autocockers and angels.

I know, i love cockers, they are now my favourite markers along with ram operated liek the EGO. I'm just stating that the EGO has now been the marker most.. key word most...used now today.
