URGENT ATTENTION: Limited Luxfer recall
It would appear that a batch of tanks sent by Luxfer for their initial pre-sale hydro test managed to be dispatched back to Luxfer by the hydro testing facility WITHOUT having been fully tested.
As such, Luxfer have asked that these tanks be returned for a full hydro test.
Information regarding this recall has been posted on the PMI web site, but could effect the air systems made by other companies: -

So this is the fault of the hydro-testing facility and not Luxfer itself, correct?

Luxfer only make the bottles, they have no part in the hydrotesting process, so it would appear to be entirely down to an error at the test facility.

I received an email the other day from Macdev about the Luxfer recall and they said that Macdev is not affected by this recall. Macdev tanks are okay.

There is a 68/4500 luxfer crossfire tank on ebay, is it still ok to buy.

Impossible to tell without checking the serial number. Ask the seller to give you the serial number and then click on the Luxfer link in the first post, enter the serial number, and it will check whether the tank needs to be hydrotested or not.
