after seeing this thread i realized how cool people can be. this sunday in my sunday schol class i am going to request a praise for all the people that post in this thread. i am also going to do that on wednesday. i would like to say congratulations and thank you to everyone that posts on this thread and say may god be with you. i vot for a sticky on this thread.

It used to be stickied, but apparently someone complained about that promoting Christianity. That's no problem though, we'll just keep the prayer's coming and keep it up.

just make it the prayer/meditation thread.....mediatation carries no religious context in my book, and it has some sort of connection to the supernatural if there is such a thing, and wishing for ones wel being while in a complete state of relax is a good thing....

Another one for me, please....
short version: Alot of downsizing at work, and there have been some layoffs. I haven't been affected, nor will I be, but (not to be cold-hearted) this will leave some "opportunities" and I am considering a pretty major step in applying for different job. The downsizing has been part of a pretty big shake-up and reorganization. Mostly looking for peace in the timing of my next steps.

If we could offer up some prayers for friend Sheena, her dad died on Sunday, she's going through tough times.

Her dad was not a Christian, though she is.

Lotta prayers needed for the family of Marquita Watkin. She was my moms co-worker and best friend for over ten years. She died of cancer yesterday. Her husband and daughter are not taking it too well. Niether is my mom. Prayers needed all around.

Those who know me on a personal basis know that I've devoted the past 6 years of my life to work, and put most of my personal life on hold. I've had the opportunity to work with many great minds, leaders in all aspects of business, law and politics. A few have been personal mentors to me and helped guide me along the way through tough times and rocky roads.

One of my greatest influences in my life died in an aviation accident on Saturday March 1st when the plane he was piloting crashed in Leesburg, Virginia. He and two other individuals in my company perished in the accident. Although Don Fitzpatrick is gone from our lives, his belief and visions live on in all those who have had the opportunity to be a part of his life. I pray for you Don.

Prayer is a happinin' for those poses that request it. I don't always post a reply, but as I mentioned previously, I do frequent thei sthread daily as a point of contact for a prayer list.

Some of you might know, because of my requests here and on other forums, the church I attend has had to move out of the current facilities. The corporate owner (founding pastor), has left the city,a nd now resides in another stat and is pursuing other directions in the ministry. he didn't just up and leave, as our current senior pastor has been here for several years, but when the senior/founding pastor left, we lost many families (for many reasons),a nd so we were unable to continue to afford the facilities.

After much prayer, number crunching and advice from peer pastors and secular business men, we have moved to more affordable facilities for teh congregation we now have. Of course,a dn as expected we have lost a few more families because of the move (even though we are only about 1/2 mile away).

My prayer request is that those families that no longer attend out congregation will sooon find a place to worship corporately. We hold no ill-will to them at all and have not burned any bridges, but we pray and ask others to pray that they would find a place to worship very soon.

the move has otherwise been very successful and productive. I appriciate all your prayers during that time. we are now settlign in the new facilities.

on to some other related information about previous requests. because THe founding pastor and corporation head has decided to do other things, the position I held as Dean of Students is one that I have resigned. That Bible College was unter that corporation and with the move of congregation to new facilities we are also in the process of making a new corporate covering.

sounds like alot of politics, but sometimes you have to deal with those things too. It really isn't as bad as all that, but the main thing is that there really isn't a "split", as almost the entire congregation moved to the new facilities, since the old facilities were put up for sale by the founding pastor after deciding that we could no longer afford that building. In any case, I will be working to start a new Bible college (the other one, under the previous corporate covering) has been discontinued. - your prayers are appreciated in this endeavor.

Good to be back. Circumstances required me to leave for a few months but I'm like a bad rash, always come to haunt you. Look forward to getting back into the groove of posting deep reply's in the great OT threads =)

I could use some prayer with school right now. I am swimming 2 hours a day, and thats taking a lot of time out of other things.
