Try them both out and see which you prefer.
Unfortunately asking these questions in the marker specific forums will tend to only get you a biased response, as the Nerve owners will favour the Nerve, and the Defiant 2 owners will favour the Defiant. The only way to get an unbiased opinion, and one that is truly relevant to yourself, is to use them both and make your own mind up.
This won't of course give you any information about long term reliability, but questions of that nature can be asked without placing one marker head to head with another, and can also be researched by reading the reviews.
