i have shot both and i personaly like my shocker better but its a close match i would definatly love to have a nerve as a backup gun not that i need one my shocker runs pretty well. but you need to lube a shocker after every time you use it to have it run well as for a nerve i think it needs a lot less matinence to keep it running

they are nice but you have to lube it after every day you use it or it will start to act up

obviously the reason i love my nerve is because of the way it performs. it is comparable in consistency and speed of any other high end gun. and the reason i like it the most (and you won't hear this anywhere else but in a nerve forum) is the reliability. i have not had any issues with my nerve so far. has never forced me to sit out a game, let alone a day of paintball. another reason i like it ( yet another thing you will only here in a nerve forum) is its small profile and light weight, not to mention the minimal amount of kick.

Cheap, same board and frame as a shocker, look good, needs no ups, much more efficent than a Shocker, nobody has them, reliable. What more do you need. Nerve is 4 oz heavier, 1/2 in taller, thinner than a shocker, lots less o rings and you can take the bolt out the back aired up if you need to, but I have never had a chop or a problem once set up.

Why do I love my Nerve? That's like asking why do I love to breathe or love to eat. The Nerve just feels right, awesome rate of fire with Team Board, great stock barrel, no inconsistency problems with the reg, no real performance parts needed to make it awesome, quite unlike an ion, and the feeling of being unique because far less people have them.

It is FAST, even though they are hard to fined they are cheep, but at hart they are a 1000 doller gun, they are hot looking, they are dont chug the gas, they have a ramping bord if that trips your triger it doesnt really me Im more of a old school simi auto guy, and they are kinda rare so that is always cool. so all in all i love my nerve and dont plan on selling it, that doesnt mean i dont plan on getting new gats it just means i wont sell this one when i do get another one. I am a gun whore in the making lol.

It just doesn't seem right calling the Freak Barrel "stock" lol

Yeah, i sold my impulse about 2 weeks ago, and the night before last i bought a Nerve, quick question though, can the gun still shoot fast if u dont mess around with any of the ramping modes? P.S. for those of u guys that like to shoot fast, but cant figure outt he ramping stuff (me), the Virtue board has RT (makes u 2x as fast)

Within the limits of it's maximum rate of fire, it will fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. How fast that will be will depend on yourself, of course, and how well you get on with the trigger - you might want to look at switching to a roller bearing trigger, and try out some different shaped triggers to see if they suit you better.

Remember though, that the stock Nerve board does not feature any debounce adjustments, so you cannot adjust the sensitivity of the trigger to enhance your rate of fire in semi mode, nor eliminate any trigger bounce if you need to (other than by making physical adjustments to the trigger pull).

Most of the aftermarket boards that feature recreational modes include response mode. If you haven't already purchased a Virtue board, I would suggest you have a look at the Nox Unleashed "Naughty Dog" board, the Predator v5.0 board, or when it is released (soon), the Predator v10.0 board. Both the Nox board and the Predator boards have more features and more modes than the Virtue board. I have personally just switched from a Virtue board to a Nox board in my own Nerve.

ps Your post doesn't really belong in this thread, as it does not relate to the subject matter.
