Basic E-bolt Info
The E-bolt was Tippmann's first electronic conversion kit. They were made for the 98 Custom and converted the gun from blowback operation to electro-pneumatic. This means instead of a spring-driven back bolt being released by a sear and striking the valve to propel a paintball, a circuit board controls a pneumatic solenoid that moves a spring-returned ram that opens the valve when it moves forward.
When they were still in production, there were three brands of E-bolts. They are as follows:
- GTA E-bolt; $300 MSRP PBR rating 9.4/10
These are the most common E-bolts. Made by Tippmann, they're capped at 13 bps out of the box. - Psycho Ballistics E-bolt; $200 MSRP; PBR rating not available
These are harder to come by. The least of the E-bolt family, not worth getting. - BSI E-bolt; $350 MSRP; PBR rating not available
Uncapped out of the box, this is probably the best (un-modded) E-bolt kit. Probably the most hard to come by now, don't hesitate to grab one if you find it.

Modding your E-bolt
If you have a little know-how and a lot of patience, stock E-bolts can be modded. All three models can be modified for faster ROFs, but the information I'm going to provide is for modding the GTA E-bolt.
There are several ways to modify your E-bolt for faster ROFs.
