Ok so here is what has been going on. Well it has been over 3 years since diagnosis, and almost 3 years since the transplant.

So to the update. I am still being treated for the Graft vs. Host disease. I am still taking a good number of drugs as well, including chemo drugs. I get frustrated because I am still on all of this stuff. I still see the doc every 2 to 3 weeks. Kind of the same stuff each visit. He looks at me, to see how the GVHD is and then asks me if I have any other concerns. Then inevitable tells me to, "Stay on course. No changes in your meds." That with the blood test, costs about $500 each time. On the bright side I am cancer free for almost 3 years, I am upright breathing, and somewhat active.

That is the medical update. Now a personal one.

My doc has not officially let me go back to work. The owners at my former place of employment have decided they don't want to wait for me so they cut me loose. LOL I got a letter letting me know my services are no longer needed. Got it on a Friday no less. I went there on the following Monday to let them know what a chicken s**t move that was, and let tell them after 7 years of service they could have called me in to do it. Anyway this and the Cancer paved they way to my next announcement. I decided to start my own business, and work from home. For some reason my doc is ok with this. What is the business you ask?? I now own my own my own firearm business. I sell, repair, and refinish firearms. The other half of the businees is ammunition manufacturing. I got all my licenses and insurance. Now the business is like 90% ammunition and 10% repair, refinish and sales. I started this last July and now we are looking to expand and add more equipment and stuff. All of this got started from Ebay. I was selling all kinds of stuff on ebay to help pay the bills and stuff. People would give us all kinds of free stuff to help out. I used some of the money to get all of the licenses and insurance. That is how it started.

I have been so busy I should not even be posting. I have enough work right now for a solid month and I get 7-10 calls a day of people wanting to buy ammo. I am supplying a few stores with ammo and just had a meeting with the chief of a large metro police department. I hope to be supplying them with all of their training ammo soon.

EDIT: I forgot to add. http://www.dynamicfirearmsolutions.com/ It is still in the building stages. Input would be nice.

So things while going slow, have been improving.

This Saturday I am going to play some ball. Against my docs advice. lol Well I have not asked him recently. He always says no. I am not asking him this time. I am still working on getting back in shape, but it is tough sometimes with the effects of some of the drugs.
I cannot wait to use a very secial marker I got I will play back and try not to over stress myself. It should be fun. I have not played in over 3 years. I cannot wait.

Well I am going to get back to work. I will be in and out more often.

Another pearl of wisdom from a plumber friend of mine.

"You can float a turd a mile, but you can't push one an inch." ~Dennis

Hey flamethrower. Glad to hear you're doing ok, and it sounds like you're an FFL03 now. I may have to use you next time I want a match rifle built. Since you reload, are you having trouble finding primers? I can't find them anywhere! All the hoarders are scared of obama and buying up all the primers, brass, and dies! On the brighter side I did start bullet casting again, so now it's time to go to the nearest junk yard and start popping wheel weights. Straight water quenched wheel weight alloy does the job on anything in North America.

EDIT: Since you're a gunsmith, I figured you may like this. If you've read any of my post you'd know I am a marlin and milsurp rifle fanatic. Here's the last of my marlins I worked on.

Started out as this:
(rifle on bottom)

Then went to this:

Complete action job and trigger job
Poor mans straight grip conversion (cut lower tang with hacksaw, file to wood, polish, blue)
Wood refinish, except the new straight grip butt stock.... haven't matched it yet
Barrel band modification and front stock mods, barrel is now free floating
Stainless lever
Williams FP Receiver peep sight
Williams firesight
marbles slot blank

So far I have a good load worked up with a 170gr. winchester power point and 3031. Was using H335 but 3031 is versatile and with the ammo crisis going on I don't want to have multiple powders on hand. For my rifle powders I just keep on RL-15, 3031, and H4198 and H4895. For my pistol powders I keep 296/H110, unique, 2400 and lilgun. I mostly use 296 and unique though.

Every silver lining has a cloud

Wel let's start with the good news. The Karni is awesome! It shoots flawlessly. It is great! I have to watch the ROF. I burned through 1700 balls in 2 hours. I think I had more fun watching the stream of balls than actually shooting anyone.

Ok so we played at an indoor place. Wide hyperball field. It is old tennis club, converted to a field. So the usual conditions. Sawdust, mixed with large volumes of paint and water from a leaky roof.
First match 30 seconds into the game, i decide to move from one place to another. This is where things went bad. I cannot run to save my life. The people I am playing against are all new. So no need to move fast anyway. I was about 5 feet from the bunker and I planted my left foot. Well it went a direction that is not natural. Really not natural. I went superman like to the ground. I saved the marker. It never touched the ground. My knee hurt, but not very bad. Like a dumb az$, I kept playing. I finished up and went home. Boy did my knee stiffen up. Now it was hurting badly. I slept and the next morning the wife and I went to urgent care. I was sitting there and my let side started to hurt. I walked it off a couple of times, but then it was like someone was drilling into my side. Se off to the ER we went. We hit the door and within 5 minutes I had an IV in and they were pumping in the good drugs. Weee. Now that my head is floating and I am in lala land, I get a CT of my abdomen, and an X-ray of my knee.

Long story longer, after more tests. It turns out that I have a 7mm kidney stone moving from my kidney and my bladder. On top of that I may have either a torn ML or a torn meniscus. So an MRI tomorrow and I will know for sure.

Well I am tired, so off to bed I go.

MRI says no tear. Woot! I have to wear a knee brace for 6 weeks. No problem.

I have not passed the stone yet. They may have to go get it. There is only one way in. At least I will be out for it.
