I appreciate the offer. What exactly does he have?
I have one chemo treatment under my belt. That one left me in the hospital for a month. This one will be another month.
Been bald in a couple of places for about a month and a half. The first chemo was just to stop the advancement of the cancer cells. This chemo is getting me ready for my transplant which will take place on the 25th. My doc says "nuclear bomb" level of chemo. It must be. He came in today and said he is reducing the dose, because he doesn't want my liver to "melt." Interesting choice of words I thought, but it got his point across.
So far I am feeling ok. It certainly doesn't hurt having great looking nurses around.
Well, I will keep everyone up to date from time to time.

Thanks guys for all of the support.
It is day -3 today, and I start my chemo drug called Cytoxen. I only get it for 2 days through the IV. Then I get a day of rest so the drugs can get out of my system. Then on day 0 (Tues) I get the transplant. They said I will get it in the evening. Besides being the event that could save my life, it is not all that dramatic. I get the bone marrow cells through the catheter, like I would any other blood product.
Well time to eat one of my 3 squares and then hit the shower while I am diconnected from the IV pump.
Never give up! Never surrender!
