better made than an Ion IMO. better solenoid, better gripframe and trigger, better inline reg, all-around higher quality.
Some ppl prefer the Ion because of its size and amazing upgradeability though.
I'd say the above PM is worth $200-240 depending on condition.

i wouldn't pay anything over 235 for it. the drive board is really nice though you will be happy with it if you can set it up right.
and ICD makes a higher quality and far more durable marker. as lotus said, ions are upgradeable in every aspect where promasters are not so much. id always stick to a company like ICD over SP

QFT, except I would pay over $235 for it, but depends on the condition.

Promasters are slightly larger and heavier, but the Promaster is still a better gun for the money.

no. promasters are bigger and a little heavier, but IMO if you cant handle a few more ounces then thats kinda sad. promasters are just so much better stock. they are way easier to work on, i think they look better, and as i said before, the durability advantage is huge. i also tested a stock ion and stock promaster. it felt to me that the promaster was just a little better cycling. the ion doesnt like to get to 17BPS stock because it needs a better qev. the promaster doesnt have this issue it will cycle 15 BPS. it does however kick more, but that doesnt bother me any. all you have to do is get an ICDU ram and the kick disappears.

The ion and the PM are both good guns, they BOTH get the job done.....
so as always I reccomend you make a trip to your local field or shop and give both guns a try, depending on your location this may be difficult for you, but this method is always the best bet in choosing a new gun of ANY type.
A better reg, a few BPS faster rate of fire, or a little less kick isn't going to matter much to you if you can't stand the way it feels.
I'd go with the promaster, and so would everyone else in this forum..... but would you?

I just got a lasoya and my ion will now be a backup, maybe for sale. The promaster has such better quality parts and feels so much nicer. The ion is very upgradeable, but the promaster needs less upgrades to perform flawlessly anyway. Really great gun.

Yeah all it needs is a feedneck and barrel to perform to its fullest potential (excluding ASA), while the Ion needs so much more.
