help me set my dwell with my qev please

. Press the power button until only the red LED blinks (not both the red and yellow) when you press the power button......this is from www.nicksdistortion.com. my ion will only go to a solid red not a blinking red..can you help me please

this is from the manual

1) Turn the ion on (duh)
2) Press the gray circut board button once. The LED will be solid yellow.
3) Press the on/off button to raise dwell, or press the gray button again.
4) You're now at the dwell lower setting. The LED should now be solid red. Press the on/off to lower dwell.

blinking red is used to turn the ramping rof up. it has nothing to do with dwell.
