G4's broken out of the box?

I'm considering buying a G4 from ANSgear.com, and on their site they have a message saying the following:

"*** Note: Based on a small but consistent issue with G4 markers malfunctioning right out of the box, ANSgear.com has taken the responsibility of testing each and every marker before they are shipped. The O-Ring in question has been changed and the solenoids tested to guarantee 100% usability out of the box. All guns are sold brand new."

I wasn't aware of any kind of problems like this with the G4. Googling it has turned up nothing for me.

Can anybody extrapolate on this? Apparently ANSgear has fixed the problem and tested all their markers, but I don't want to buy it and have it stop working 2 months later

They don't have constant issues, just poor quality control. If the factory doesn't test them, they don't know faulty guns are being shipped.

If it works out of the box, but then breaks down 2 months later, that would probably be a maintanence issue. I haven't had any problems w/ DP products.

If your worried about this then don't buy off ans gear. Go to a reputable pro shop in your area and try the gun out. I'm sure if you have a problem with the G4 later the techs at the shop will be nice enough to take care of you.

From what ive heard If the gun doesent have a problem out of the box then it should run like a quality gun should. Most of the problems are out of the box or nothing

Yeah, I know a lot of peolpe with G4's and I have never heard of any one having a trouble out of the box. I think this is just ANS trying to get you to buy from them because they check for some mysterious problem in the guns before they ship them to you. The problem probably doesn't exsist.

Or, they put used guns that have been returned to ANS back for sale. They are opened because they have supposedly been ckecked for "malfunctions" when in actually they are just used returns.

I might be wrong, but I have never heard of anyone that had a problem with DP gun out of the box and if they did DP took care of it.

there are some talks as well for a recall of some sort concerning the internal o-rings. haven't really red in-depth but that's what I skimmed while on the forums.
