Well, I'm absolutely stunned that they would forget to take your bolt out..... There's just nothing that can really be said about that..... Doh! I guess kinda sums it up.
Having said that, you didn't pay for the service, and it was done as a favour, so it would look a little disrespectful to then complain. I'd look at it that the money you would have spent on the machining is being put to your new bolt. OK, would have been nice not to have to pay for either, but at least you haven't really lost out - if you'd gone anywhere else, your bolt would probably have been OK, but you'd have paid for the service anyway. You've spent money either way. The up side is that you're getting the bolt at cost.
It's just like a battle zone, you got a bottle and you're on your own.
Gotta be a Scotch or a Kamikaze, none of those other weapons will faze me.
Hundred, hundred, hundred bottles on the wall, you wonder if you can drink them all.
Got to go home by 1am, the bottle wins the battle again.
