Rail cycle speed improvement?

I finally started tinkering with my dwell, and I can't get it below twenty clicks without drastically cutting off velocity. I realized that it would continue doing that unless I changed the operating pressure, so I did. But even with the Hyper2 set at about 205 psi and dwell at 19 clicks, I'm still only getting 245-255 fps.

Is there an economical way to change the LPR into a HPR? I'm trying to get the chrono up to 285 fps with the dwell setting really low so I can take advantage of a high-capacity board like the Tadao. My friend claimed that he could achieve 37.5 BPS with his PMR.

ok i can get my rail to shoot 299 at 18 clicks on the dwell just raise your hyper2 up after you set your dwell to 18

but now shooting 37 bps is a load of bs hes a NOOB

I tested it again with a fresh tank, I chronoed at 283, 274, 270, 283 fps with my dwell setting at 18 clicks and my Hyper2 at about 210 psi. I don't know why the chrono was so low earlier. With the dwell below 20 clicks, I have a feeling the marker can cycle at 40+ BPS. Looks like I'm buying a Tadao.

even if you marker did cycle 40 bps... which i severly doubt.... you'd have to have one sweet loader to feed like that i don't know if the pulse with rf chip even does that....

Spool valves can't do anything over 30+ bps. They can cycle that but after the 25-30 bps range, the bolt starts chopping paint. The bolt isn't designed to handle that kind of aggressive speed which is why you rarely, if ever, see a spool valve marker using it's bps speed as a selling point. All spools have this flaw because of the design and use of the spool valve.

i was doing 284-280 but i turned it up to 17 before i left. And i had my anti bolt stick on 2. I ended up getting bolt stick 2 times in the start after a few games so i turned the dwell up to 19 cause i didnt wanna mess with it. I never get any stick at 19. Although i have not tried 18 yet. Gonna have to try that now. I keep my pressure at 140 cause if i turn it up higher balls start to curve. Someone told me its cause the paint gets hit harder with the air and bolt and it warps a little.

You'd probably have to get a Qloader for anything 30+, mind you the Qloader can do it but it's a pain to set up and you'll end up using paint to set it in right, plus your marker has to have good enough detents to handle the Qloader or u'll be tripple+ feeding. not sure the qloader pods fit well in pod packs either never tried mine in it. that feeding tube can get annoying too lol

Q-Loader pods, despite only holding 100 balls each, are larger than normal 140-150 round pods. There are only a few packs that they fit in.

Yeah figured they would be wasn't sure how strechy some of the pod packs might be, I haven't gotten around to getting a pack yet i just have a rap4 vest, and until i get some chest protection I'm stuck playing "speedball" with it on and they sure don't fit in that thing. I find the Q-Loader more of a pain than it's really worth to be honest, and if u ever have to unload a pod eek. you're better off wasting the paint. Plus i think if you wind them all the way for the max speed out of it you'll probably end up damaging your detents in the long run since it's puts constant pressure on the paint and will damage the paint if u leave it in too long as well even when it's hardly wound up at all.

Yeah I'll never bother with my Qloader again one of my 2 pods is defective anyway blah. Dunno if i'd get a halo B myself i kinda like the Fasta hopper, i hate my Evo 3 it's just not getting along with my PMR. for whatever reason I can out shoot the evo and as much as I'd Love if i was that talented I highly doubt that's the case. My PMR is still set at the factory settings so it's supposed to be capped at 20bps according to the manual, but then again the hubby did play with the board when he picked it up for me so who knows, but either way I shouldn't be able to out shoot the hopper.

Actually, I CAN feed 30 BPS, I was just wondering whether a new board was a worthwhile investment. (RF harnessed Pulse system can feed 28 BPS in marker, 31 BPS if two 9V are used.)

I was wondering whether the Orange or Techt bolts have any softer collision with the ball; I know there are rubber-tipped bolts out there. I am pretty sure I can get my cycle down low enough, but I don't know if it's really necessary.

yah the halo b has a lot more aftermarket little parts than the fasta... you can get back plates, delrin peices, custom rip drive gears, suicide shells... just way way easier imo...
