How heavey is the SP-1 stock?
About 3 lbs fully setup with stock barrel and asa.

What type of barrel threads does the SP-1 use?
It uses Impulse threaded barrel just like the Ion series and Shocker NXT.

Does the SP-1 have a reg?
Yes.

Is the feedneck clamping?
Yes.

Can I put Ion feednecks on it?
No, the SP-1 doesn’t use threaded feednecks instead it has a permanently attached neck that the feedneck goes on. Trinity has a T-lock feedneck out for the SP1/Vibe and SP is supposed to come out with a Q-lock.

What kind of air can I use?
You can use compressed air and CO2 as long as the CO2 has been anti-siphoned or you’re running a remote line.

Is the SP-1 B.O.B.?
Yes.

Does it have any other firing modes other then semi-auto?
Older SP-1's are semi-auto new ones are now semi, 3 shot burst, and full-auto. SP will be making a Blackheart board though later if you want to more modes.

Does the SP-1 have eyes?
No. It uses a Low Force bolt as an anti-chop system. SP will be making a new breach that will allow eyes to be fitted in once the Blackheart comes out.

What kind of detents does the SP-1 use?
Ion detents.

Can I remove the rails?
Only the bottom rail is removable so you can take off the reg and/or install a flashlight.

Is the SP-1 high pressure (HP) or low pressure (LP)?
It’s low pressure.

Which tank should I get, LP or HP?
You can use either but HP would be best because of their faster recharge rate but a good quality LP tank would also be fine.

Can I put a stock on the SP-1?
Yes.

What kind of stocks does it take?
Tippmann 98 Custom stocks work but you need an adapter backplate. Trinity has a stock for it out now as well.

Does the SP-1 have an on/off ASA?
No, but it uses standard 2 hole design so putting an on/off on will be no trouble.

Is the air line macro or steel braided?
It’s steel braided with black thread woven in to match the gun.

What kind of trigger does the SP-1 have?
It’s a single finger magnetic trigger.

Can I put a double finger trigger on the SP-1?
Yes.

Does the SP-1 use the same board as the Ion?
No.

Can I put an Ion board in?
No.

What kind of grips does the SP-1 use?
Standard 2 hole 45 grips.

Is the SP-1 all plastic?
The frame, body, and reg cover are a rugged polymer plastic but the inner body is aluminum.

Is the bolt the same as the Ion?
Yes, the design is the same but it's made differently and is lighter. It is actually better the the stock ion bolt but it in all other regards it's an ion bolt.

Can I use 2 piece bolts?
Yes, both TechT and Deadlywind now have 2 piece bolts for the SP1.

Can I put an aftermarket Ion firing chamber in the SP-1?
No, the firing chamber is gone and replaced by a firing sleeve.

It's different in that it's not the same alloy and it's lighter. It's still the same bolt design though.

Quick question.
Aren't the Vibe and the SP-1 essentially the same marker.
The only tangible difference I see is the shroud.
looking at the specs, however, tell me these are the same gun.

Yes the SP-1 is longer and has the shroud and rails, can accept stocks, and has a single trigger, while the Vibe is shorter and has a double trigger.

Ohh I have a couple of questions!

Can you get diffrent fore grips? like to put around the reg?
It says you have to have your tank anti-siphoned. Is that something that most tanks come with? Or is there a thread where I can see how. Plus, isnt there a way to change wich type of air your going to use on the board?

No so far there are no new front grips/regs. You don't have to use A/S CO2 it's just recommended that you do to get the best out of the gun. Buying a tank w/ an A/S is a very bad idea since you need the A/S to match up your gun so it needs to be installed in the tank you'll be using on the gun. There is a way to change the dwell settings, one for HPA and one for CO2. I never looked into because mine works fine on both air types on whatever it's set to now

Smart Parts recomends Anti-Siphon or a remote line if you are using CO2, using a normal CO2 tank makes it very easy for liquid to enter the gun, which might make it freeze up, and I would imagine possibly cause damage.

You can actually buy an Anti-Siphon tank. Action Village has Smart Parts tanks with A/S tubes installed. The plan there is to screw the tank in all the way and then back it off until the mark, which indicates where the tube is ,is at the top. I was skeptical about not having the tank in all the way, but I just put my A/S tank, that is set up for my 98, onto my Vibe and the tank isn't lose at all, only has to be backed out a little more than half a turn and the pressure of the gas holds it tight. Its not backed out enough to see the threads, so they can't get damaged. I'm not going to change the position of the tubes, when it works the way it is.

Changing the dwell involved disconnecting and reconnecting a terminal on the battery and watching the light flash; one blink for CO2, two blinks for HPA, I believe. The Smart Parts website has a video that shows you how. I also read that the difference is 15ms of dwell between the two settings, not sure which way, or how accurate that is, but I read it somewhere.
