A friend of mine just told me that while he was in Hot Topic (I know, I know, but it just adds to the whole scenario), "When the Levee Breaks" by Led Zeppelin came on the store's radio. The cashier, upon hearing it, said, "Who the hell is this? It's terrible." Had I been there I would have smashed her head in with one of the crappy gimmicks they sell. Firstly, bands like fall out boy and my chemical romance and whatever else people who go to hot topic listen to SUCK. Then she disses on freaking Led Zeppelin, which pisses me off as well because the gods of rock did not smite her immediately, WITHOUT KNOWING WHO THEY EVEN ARE. How the hell do you not recognize a Zep song? That should be against the law. I hate people

Newsflash: Led Zeppelin is to the X generation's music what Fallout Boy and MCR are to the Y generation's music.
Seriously. Led Zeppelin sucks, and so does every band you just mentioned.

Who are you to say something sucks? It may suck to you, but to the other person it could be the best thing in the world. So, to get things straight. Those bands suck to you, not to him, and may not suck to everyone else.

Exactly. If you haven't caught on to my style by now, if someone insults someone else's taste then I'm inclined to insult both of their tastes. Getitgotitgood?
The part you conveniently ignored, was that Led Zeppelin is to X-gen music what Fallout Boy is to Y-gen music. The only thing classic about classic rock is that it's former popular music that people get nostalgic about. Musically, not superior (or inferior) in the least.

I don't listen to Zep. I have a greatest hits album that gets no playtime on my iTunes because it was a gift. I appreciate three or four of the songs on there, but nothing else. They're okay. And by the way, musical elitism sucks. I don't listen to much of what the critics reccomend, but if I do make a choice to do so, I rarely regret it. I'm listening to a band who I should hate because I hate instrumental albums, but they're damn good (Mogwai). Honestly, it's all opinion. By the way, give respect where respect is due. You may not like a certain band, but their success isn't something that should be hated. Fall Out Boy may suck in your opinion, but there's a lot of people who love them.
And Oni, what do you listen to? I always see it vary...

I got back from seeing Pineapple Express the second time. It's an awesome movie. My favorite part is when Sal is crying eating the hamburger. I couldn't stop laughing.
I also saw it with the girl at work who likes me. Without her overly big uniform on she's got quite a body.
Can I get another w00t w00t?

I listen to everything.
Next few in my playlist;
American Sneakers - C.I.A.
Ween - Ocean Man
The Flaming Lips - In The Morning of the Magicians
The Adicts - **** It Up
Bob Dylan - Ballad of a Thin Man
David Bowie - Rebel, Rebel
Kings of Leon - Pistol of Fire
Sham 69 - With A Little Help From My Friends (Beatles cover)
Santogold - I'm a Lady
The Pixies - I Bleed
Liz Phair - Never Said
The Hold Steady - Your Little Hoodrat Friend
Ratatat - Wildcat
MGMT - 4th Dimensional Transition
Beethoven - Symph. No. 3 in E-flat major
that doesn't represent everything though, I can't think of any genres that I outright refuse to listen to.
