I love it to death. Unfortunately, no pics.
Just to clarify, I didn't even realize the implications of the name of that bike until about 30 seconds ago.

getting a bike this summer maybe. plan on having one down florida (moving there this summer)

my dad rides. yamaha vstar somethin. he says it's mine once i get licensed but i don't really want it. probalby just gonna pick up a ninja250 to toy around with and learn how not to kill myself first. had my eye on a black honda shadow for a few years now though.

gonna start low and when i feel like i've grown out of it i'll step up to something "bigger"

hell, i might keep the vstar who knows. but then my dad won't have a bike and i know he loves riding. i really don't know why he's offering it to me.

Holy dead thread revival Batman! But, it's back to riding season, so I thought I'd post up my ride.

Currently riding a 1981 Yamaha XS 650 Special.

I am going in next week though to pick up my new bike I'm getting a 2009 Suzuki Gladius (SVF 650)

That is such a sexy bike, Evil. I'm not a huge fan of Harleys, but I make an exception now that then. Such as in this case and in the case of the Dark Custom.

Do you think you will be able to handle that much power between your legs? I mean not having any power there now

I would really like a bike. I do dumb enough things in my car, I'd probably kill myself on a bike.

Next year I'm buying myself a dual sport bike. Probably a KLR650 since I'd like to start riding again.

KLRs are nice, and most importantly, really smooth riders. If I were to get a dual sport, that's what I'd get. That, or a Suzuki Vstrom. Both are awesome riding bikes, they were both on the "look at" list before deciding on the Suzuki Gladius.

As long as you get a good one, they are great. I kinda wish I had one, I get really warm in my full face one sometimes, and flipping up the shield just isn't enough air sometimes.

I got this Ninja 650-R in November. I put insurance on it 3 months ago and got 6000K on it already. pretty comfy to ride. Not that it doesent have power. I just want more power. So im thinking of trading it in next year and getting the Ninja zx-6. As for helmets. I have two(one for the ladies) They are both HJC's. The model I have has some pretty nice styling. Its super comfy. And to top it off, it has built in sunglasses. They pull down and flip up with the press of a button. And it was a reasonable price. (helmet is HJC scratch) if your curious

Wow your bike is really.... Green.

Get the 1599 cc one the Zr-10 I believe. It's got power to BURN.

The 1000cc is the ZX-10. And the the bike your talking about is called the Ninja Zx-14. Which is the worlds fastest production street bike(182MPH). Despite popular believe that a Busa is. But both of those bikes are absolutley useless.

I've never really be impressed with Ninja's. Every Mexican kid and his brother has one and they just seem overrated to me. The Ducati Streetfighter and Superbike always appealed to me. You don't seem the riding around everyday.

Well if I could afford a ducati 999 then I might own one. But unfortunatley they are really exspensive. And exspensive to work on.(which is why you dont see them everyday) But not only that. As soon as I jump my bike over 750CC. My overpriced insurance($2300 a year) will skyrocket. And I really dont think I should own a bike cabable of 170MPH. There was a lot of research that went into buying the bike I did. And at the end of the day, it was the SV 650 vs the Ninja 650. Both pretty dead even bikes. But for me, I prefer the sporty look of the Ninja. And the reason I didnt jump right to the 600 was simply a lack of riding experience. Which is why next year I would like to get a 600 or possibly 750.
