Paintball chopping!!
During my day of playing paintball i did not have a good day because most of my shots were chopping and i was wondering why?? i have a tippmann 98 with A.C.T. and i have a 12'' j&j barrel!! Could it just be the paintballs i was using because i dont normally chop that much??

It's possible. the weather and type of paint can have a huge effect on it. What was the temperature, how old was the paint, where'd you buy it from, and what kind of paint was it?

The age of the paint can have a massive impact on the amount of breakage you encounter. Tippmanns, even ones with ACT, are not exactly what you'd call gentle on paint, so overly brittle or soft paint can often turn your gun into a blender.
However, the issue could also be with your loading system. For example: if you're using anything that requires batteries, the electrical drain could be to blame. It's very easy to place the guilt on your marker for chopping when the fault actually lies with the fact that the batteries in your loader are all but dead.

It could but if your using old paintballs, they could the major problem. Older slightly deformed paintball can jam/break in the barrel.

I have a tippmann with ACT and a Cyclone feed, and I haven't chopped a ball since I got it. The oldest paint I've used is 1 year old paint with dimples, and it shot fine...

Dimpled paintballs don't jam in the barrel like egg shaped paintballs do though, it just depends on what condition the paintball is in.

Could be, but only if the gun is double feeding. That's not possible with a Cyclone feed, and almost requires an fast electronic loader.

Try oiling your ACT.
Once i found i was chopping a lot and i figured there was something wrong with the ACT so i took a look at it and took the feed neck off my 98 and stuck my finger in the marker, shot it and the ACT didn't budge.
Took it apart and i put a bomb load of oil on the ACT spring thingy on the rear bolt, now it works perfectly and is quite soft when the front bolt hits my finger and doesn't chop my finger off, just make sure its not preasurised, cos otherwise it hurts.
Other than that do what everyone else is telling you to, check your paint.

Are you and the Lube Master related by chance? lol...
But seriously, that's a darn good place to start.

There is a difference between a simple lube bomb and continuous soaking of parts and equipment.

if you are using an electric hopper it could be feeding the balls in too fast for your gun to shoot also your bolt could be set too far back so when 1 paintball goes in the next one above it drops too far down and when the bolt shoots the first one it also chops the second one
