I Like the idea of having a "Tribal f/s" thread (stickied).
Clyclone is probably correct that Vaypo's first instinct will be to close the thread because that is normal procedure here at PBR. HOWEVER...... Vaypourus said it was OUR forum to do with as we liked (within reason).
As I've said, I like the idea. If the majority of us here on the Tribal forum want one I don't see why Vaypourus wouldn't allow it..... right? I see it as another positive thing that will help the Tribal forum grow!

i say let do it....that will help with everyones selling there stuff and wanting stuff.....but lets just have a classified not a selling and wanting one like at pbn. good thinking fudd

Like U Wc, I just like the idea...... Cwilks2k06 initiated it! I'd say the "cudos" are his.

A couple things tho if we do get it......
* Try to keep the posts f/s/t and not for "OT" conversation about stuff..... use e-mail & PM's to make offers or get more details about a f/s/t item. (if possible)
* If you sell the item try to be kind enough to delete the post or at least edit it so it states the item has been SOLD.

Evil Fudd, I'm not saying I don't like the idea just that every time someone has started one he has closed it, just stating my theory on the subject. I support it 110% cuz I'm looking for a Tribal.

Someone should actually start it off with a post that has a marker for sale (or trade)......

I haven't abandoned you guys...I just haven't been around much lately due to some problems in my neck of the woods.

As far as the for sale thread goes: I spoke with Andrew about this a few months back. He did not want a separate thread for just tribals. While he understood that it was a dying breed, he didn't want a "for sale" thread in every forum (kind of eliminates the need of a general for sale thread, eh?) and he couldn't say yes to us and no to the other threads and still be fair about things.

Unfortunately, the constant for sale/wanted threads in the main forum get messy, and myself and the other users get sick of seeing them. The general idea is to keep buisiness out of the main forum; keeps things a bit cleaner and smoother.

I have been trying to figure out a way that I can still incorporate the "tribal trade". I want all you guys to brainstorm and come up with something that fits the constraints, yet still accomplishes what we want. If you guys come up with something good, let me know and I will speak with Andrew about it.

how about a little welcome to the tribe thread......like someone starts, it and says they have a tribal for someone if they want to join the tribe....and all deals be dealt with thru pm or email or whatever........the title be something like.....come join the tribe

post a thread titled "Where to buy a TRIBAL" (or something to that effect). In the thread you state that all Tribe members here at PBR will list any Tribals they have for sale in their "SIGNITURE" or will have a link in their sig to their Tribal f/s. Of course we state the obvious as well, that they can search the b/s/t forum too. Also incorporate Wc's suggestion of pursuing sales thru PM's or e-mails only.
So wuddya think??

That has been done in other forums, and it kind of gives people the heads up about not posting the f/s, f/t adds in the main forum.
