Does anyone have any new projects or test they are doing?

well.......
Edwin is doing his LPRC, I was speaking with him about it just the other day. While we were talking I asked if he could do a hp/lp chamber...... or volumizer. I'm running an lpr off a gauge port in the vert asa, I could use a volumizer in place of where the lpr adapter would go because I'm running a Madman Rocket valve. He said he could do one (or 2) but hasn't replied back with a price or a time frame. I was thinking of using a APS lpr adapter and gutting an old WPG sledgehammer lpr and using it as an air chamber. Kind of an expensive volumizer tho........

Aslo......
Not really much of a project but i did enlarge the air passage holes in the ram and polished the interior, etc.
And I'm still on my quest to find reliable CONSISTANCY.... I finally figured out that some "no-name" lpr's just aren't stable at pressures over 100 psi.

KK-
Did enlarging the holes inthe ram help any? I had thought about doing it myself, but I wasn't sure if it would make much of a difference.
My new project is putting ICD PDS eyes onto my tribal. Mike is altering the warlord for me, and then I will have to figure out exactly where to drill the holes for the eyes.
The PDS eyes are nice becuase they are a "break beam" eye with a seperate sending and receiveing eye. The eyes are not affected by bolt color, paint color, or paint surface/texture like a normal reflective eye can be.
Once I get the modifications done there, hopefully the body goes off for some nifty CNC!

EvilFudd I tried the hp/lp chamber...... or volumizer. Couldn't tell that it help much. http://groups.msn.com/TippmannLowBlo...to&PhotoID=130
"enlarge the air passage holes in the ram" could you tell anything, did it help?
Have you tried different springs on the rocket valve?

I think I've got too many coals in the fire on this one...
I'm doing a bit of ram work (different o-rings, looser tolerances, altered hammer, spring assisted) to see if that does anything substantial. I've gotten the ram itself (no bolt) to strike the valve and produce a "pop" at only 6 ms and 55 psi.
Another thing I'm working on is the break beam idea like Vayporous is talking about. (BTW I got the eyes today, thanks!) I still have to talk to Michael about what needs to be changed on the Warlord itself to enable break beam eye usage.
I have an idea (and actually did it once) about using the AOC gauge body testers from ASP as an LPR adapter (requires some moddifying to the body though). But it puts a nice, large air chamber in front of the valve, exactly where it needs to be. This can only be used on Rocket Valves though. Unless you put a longer spring (I used a Spyder striker spring with a few coils cut off) and some type of spring guide, then you can use a regular valve.
I've been wanting to try porting and polishing the stock inline regulator and use a different configuration for raising/lowering the reg seat. I also have some plans for the AOC, but lack of time lately has been holding me up.
Oh, and there's the high flow barbs and hose that I've had on my Twister for a while, but I need to do more testing to see if it actually does something.
So many projects, so little time!

How was the fps consistancy? I'm guessing you had to be close to 4+/-.... maybe 5??
Enlarging the holes (slightly) did help but only a VERY little. Maybe adding 4 more holes might do a little more
Haven't tried diff spring on rocket yet, will do after tourney this weekend..... maybe tue/wed next week.

I’m getting a +/- 3 most of the time, but every now & then it will jump or drop like 10 fps, just one ball or two then it back to +/- 3. But I was getting that before I add the chamber.
Drilling more holes may help but you are still going to be limited by the small holes on the solenoid, if I’m thinking right.

On pbnation madgoat33 said
“Slows down cycling rate. ICD put it there to fix fsdo problems some Gen 1 bushy's had. A guy calle ShootPaint has the SP mod for bushys/bko that prevents chopping and lowers pressure. The bushy one was made by drilling holes in the ram in strategic locations. If you add 6 holes to the front of the ram and 6 holes to the back it is supposed to lower the pressure by 20 or 30 percent. At least that is what i have heard. Maybe one of you guys should experiement with it.”
So maybe it does work!!!!!!!!!

I have addicted body that I'm adding the warlord with eye covers (I will have the same type cover on both sides of the gun (One for eye and One for ball detent) also adding a Angle Grip Frame (Double trigger) with Addicted milling to it. I am also trying to set it up with an angle trigger so I will have more choices for triggers. I have also sent a twister off to be chop & mill and anodizes, it will also have the Warlord, eye and double ball detent but without cover for now. The grip frame on the Twister is made of 3000 grade aluminum and the body is made of 6000 grade aluminum. So my grip frame wasn’t turning out the same shade as the body. So I am having a new grip frame made for the twister (45 Frame-double trigger) just like the stock one but made out of 6000-grade aluminum. I think I have the numbers on the aluminum right. (Poorer grade anyway) I should have a new valve to try out next week after I get my other twister back this will be a very high flow valve if it works. Plus I should have a new one-piece LPR to try in the next week or so.
