LA. Juan Parke, 42, is a paintball player. During the 2005 flooding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Juan found a canoe and paddled through his uptown New Orleans home area rescuing neighbors and their pets from the waters and other dangers.

BCJPL. A team has started the British Columbian Junior Paintball League (BCJPL). This junior team is players all under 14, and they are just getting started in a Rocky Mountain town of about 2,900 people, Elkford, BC, Canada.
Ideas to help: Make a flyer on a photocopy machine to post anywhere possible players can see it. Ask the local paper to do a news story on the league. Keep telling people about paintball and invite them to the field. (reported by Mark Sundstrom)
