Brass Eagle Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has a voluntary recall of the Blade Turbo marker and the Paintball Breakout Players Kit. If you have one of these markers, stop using it, and call Brass Eagle to receive a free replacement screw-on cap, which will be a black cap instead of a clear cap. Brass Eagle toll-free phone: 866.363.8241, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CST M-F; or e-mail Brass Eagle at recall@brasseagle.com, or visit www.brasseagle.com/recall.

The hazard involved is that overtightening the plastic screw-on cap after the CO2 12-gram cartridges are pierced can result in the 12-grams being forcibly ejected out the back of the marker, breaking the plastic screw-on cap. The player could receive a serious impact from the 12-grams or the screw-on cap. Out of nearly 250,000 markers of this type, 73 injuries have been reported, including an eye injury, bruises, and lacerations.
