Pro Paintball Power Update: Summer 2006 Charged With Serious Paintball Action

Major-league paintball action continues worldwide this summer in the PSP, NPPL, and Millennium series. Pursuit Marketing Inc. (PMI) continues its support of the pro paintball team Chicago Evil Factory. NXe, sponsor of the top French paintball team, the Ton Tons Flingueurs, is rolling the NXe brand across Europe. ONE4ONE.tv has released the movie "Mother Russia" documenting the Russian NXL paintball team, the Boston Red Legion. REDZ International is sponsoring the pro New England Hurricanes paintball team. Mexico and Asia see some serious paintball action as well.

Major-league action continues worldwide this summer in the PSP, NPPL, and Millennium series. Each includes pro and amateur divisions.

PSP's season opened in cold weather at Settler's Park in Round Rock, near Austin, Texas, February 16-19, 2006. Played on grass, changes in XBall meant a different bracket format plus a pro division no longer restricted only to franchised teams.

NXL Pro XBall, final order of finish (15 teams): Philly Americans 1st, Baltimore Trauma 2nd, Boston Red Legion 3rd, XSV 4th. (5th-15th: Dynasty, Strange, Miami, Less than Zero, Oakland, LA Ironmen, NY Extrme, Aftershock, Ultimate, Naughty Dogs, San Diego Legacy).

Results: XBall (1st-4th) Division 1 (10 teams): X Factor, Jax Warriors, Jacksonville Raiders, San Diego Aftermath. D-II (27 teams): Speed, EC Empire, Voltage, Swatpaintball. D-III (26 teams): Clutch, PBC Gridlock, Fater, McAllen PB Assault.

Results: 5player (1st-4th) D-III (18 teams): Lost Generation, Texas Justice, Infinity, Blackout Kidz. D-IV (35 teams): BUnit, DBS Kidz, Bad Instinct, Overhead. Young Guns: Houston Fury, Bad to the Bone, Organized Chaos Kids.

Evil Factory

Pursuit Marketing Inc. (PMI) continues its support of the pro team Chicago Evil Factory. Team members are Brian Hansas, John Dresser, David Zorn, Chuck Packer, Kenny Leneve, Ben Frederick, Danny Benitez, Steve Howard and team captain John Rathbun. Boston Red Legion

ONE4ONE.tv has released the movie "Mother Russia" documenting the Russian NXL team, the Boston Red Legion. Cameras from ONE4ONE.tv followed the team at the 2005 World Cup in Orlando, FL, including the NXL final against Baltimore Trauma. Moves and tactics by the team's finest, including Petr Vasiliev, Kostia Fedorov, Mikhail Kniazev are all in the movie! New England Hurricanes

ASIA's Paintball Asia League Series (PALS) has stops in Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia this season, with plans to add two stops in '07.

Russian Legion

And one more for PMI, Pursuit Marketing Inc., in signing the pro team Russian Legion to a two-year sponsorship. Russian Legion will wear Evil jerseys, paints, gloves, and ER 20/20 Echo goggle systems, and shoot Evil paintballs. Limited-edition Evil Russian Legion jerseys and casual wear is available. The Russian Legion is coached by Peter Vasiliev; players include Vadim Alekseev, Dan Maskell, Fred Halmone, Maxim Morozov, Mikhail Kniazev, Sergey Solnishkov, Vasiliy Panteleev, Konstantin Fedorov, Maxim Preobrazhenskiy, Dmitry Kulikov, Kirill Prikhidniy, Alexander Berdnikov, Petr Vasiliev and team manager Alex Solodovnikov.
