The Old School Challenge announces its return to Oahu, Hawaii, set for Oct 14-15, 2006. Hawaii All-Star Paintball Games, Honolulu, Hawaii, will host OSC 2006 Event #6. The OSC is bringing back the perfect pump player's venue!
Brandon Cayetano is owner of Hawaii All-Star Paintball Games; Kristen Kleist is owner of the OSC. Kleist said, "Our players are still talking about the '05 season's event in Hawaii. Personally it was the best event I have ever been to. Brandon outdid himself with the food, the dancers, and a superior field. Wonderful players' party, perfect weather and some awesome paintball sums it up. The Hawaiian teams have already become part of the OSC family. Great people, great attitude and spectacular skills make them a perfect fit."
The OSC hosted over 10 events in 2005, and has seen its biggest growth this season. The OSC series is dedicated to Pump Play and has established itself as the largest pump series in the world today. The series offers a format that focuses on strategy and team play. Each event is low cost, with a trained ref staff knowledgeable about pump play, and a competitive arena of play. The rules allow only 40 paintballs per player per game, and players may only shoot pump markers. A team must shoot well, move fast and play as a team.
Pump play is back on the rise all over the country, with the OSC hosting the best players on the west coast. In 2005 in Hawaii, California teams took the top honors home to the mainland. The Hawaiian local teams will be ready for them this year!
