Charlotte, NC, July 27th, 2006 – Paintball Sports Promotions, the producers of world-class X-Ball competition and the home of the professional National XBall League, announced last week that they would host their fifth event of 2006 near Charlotte, North Carolina at Paintball Central Sports Park! Already the home of 2005 National XBall League World Champions Baltimore Trauma and two-time Division I XBall champions Carolina Gridlock, Paintball Central Sports Park Charlotte was built to host world class events like the 2006 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open, to be held September 21-24, 2006.
With four XBall fields complete with pits and gravel staging areas already standing, along with seven-man, Hyper-pipe, mounds and wooded fields, Paintball Central Sports Park Charlotte was constructed to be a home to all forms of paintball, from recreational to professional play. With numerous CFOA five-man and XBall events already played at the field, drawing as many as 119 teams, the venue has proven itself fully prepared to host major events, thanks to numerous running water and power hook-ups and high speed wireless internet infrastructure already in-place. Perfectly flat with plenty of parking and lush, freshly-sewn and manicured grass playing surfaces, PBC Sports Park Charlotte stands ready to welcome the very best players, companies and media the paintball industry has to offer.

Paintball Central currently has six (6) retail locations throughout North and South Carolina. Greensboro, NC is home to Paintball Central's Corporate Office and Flagship retail store.
