Buffalo Grove, Ill. (July 28, 2006). Tippmann Sports is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Special Ops Paintball. The new relationship will include several collaborative marketing programs as well as future product initiatives.
Tippmann and Special Ops will intensify their focus on bringing new players to the game and keeping them intrigued, entertained, and well equipped. One of the ways this will take shape is through Tippmann's promotion of Special Ops' extensive Brigade and Game Locator programs. The Brigade is a revolutionary online membership program players can join at no cost to earn rewards for how often they play paintball, journal their play, upload pictures and communicate with other players, just to name a few features. The Game Locator allows Brigade members to post opportunities to play and automatically e-mails other Brigade members within 100 miles of the posted game. Both the Brigade and Game Locator programs will be accessible though the Tippmann Sports Web site in the coming months. In addition, Tippmann has become the presenting sponsor of the SPPL. The SPPL gives ten-man scenario teams the opportunity to compete in the newly developed ! "scenario challenge" format which combines the intrigue of scenario play with the fast pace of capture the flag.
According to Special Ops co-founder, Jayson Orvis, "The Spec Ops team has dedicated the last three years to advancing the sport of woods paintball through cutting-edge products and a grassroots, first-of-a-kind woodsball community. Now, we're thrilled to see the massive power of Tippmann line up behind this vision. We love this sport and we look forward to cranking up the intensity of the woods paintball experience even more."
"The key objective of these initiatives is to bring paintball players together more often at fields or wherever they play and to give them a richer, more intriguing paintball experience." said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports. "Special Ops has created a great online platform and we believe we can help elevate awareness by growing these programs and by connecting woodsball players across the country."
Tippmann and Special Ops will also work together on various product initiatives. Currently, Special Ops offers an extensive line of marker modifications, accessories and apparel through its Internet retail site. In the very near future, Tippmann will expand distribution of Special Ops products to paintball dealers across the country and throughout the world through its international dealer and distributor network. Plus, Tippmann and Special Ops are collaborating on several exciting and revolutionary new products that will launch in the next few months.
Ehren added, "Over the past few years, Special Ops has built tremendous loyalty among woodsball players by offering innovative, well-built accessories and modifications. The growth of paintball marker customization has been phenomenal and Tippmann aims to capitalize on this trend by expanding distribution of these products and developing new products that we can offer to paintball dealers worldwide. In fact, a promotion was recently completed that featured a Tippmann Marker with Special Ops mods and we immediately sold through the inventory. We expect this success to continue with many new products planned in the upcoming months."
