| Review: |
After reading the other reviews on this product, I decided to go ahead a get it. What I noticed as soon as I installed it, was that it was a lot more stable than the stock set up. The hopper wobble that the Tippmann 98 is known for is almost gone (it shakes a little). This was already a plus in my opinion. The next thing I noticed was that my hopper (Revy 12 volt with X-board) fit into the ACI Elbow perfectly without having to use tape to make the neck of the hopper a little larger (With my factory set up, I needed to put one layer of electrical tape to increase the girth on the hopper neck). This was another plus.
Then came the real test, if it feed faster or not. My 98 with the RT trigger would sometimes miss fire because the balls would not feed into the gun fast enough. As I tested it out, my gun did not miss fire, so I guess it did make a slight difference. I guess it made the difference that I was looking for.
The only real complaint is that it makes the hopper sit about 1" higher but for some people that may be a benefit. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
If you Tippmann 98 is miss firing, then get this product. The hopper wobble that the 98's are known for is decreased but not totally. The product is made very well like all Lapco products. Get it, put in on your 98, and go play. |

 |
| Strengths: |
it looks nice. it also has a small screw that holds it tight on the pin and on the body, so it doesn't jiggle as badly and it won't fall off like the stock part if you need to release the feed and hopper to clean a break. and it is very smooth on the inside with no ridges at all, unlike the plastic one, so if you are having breaks there, you might try this. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
it does still shake back and forth like the stock feed, but it isn't as bad. i think that problem isn't the feed, it is the bar that clicks over the front sight that you have to attach to the feeder. i originally was irked when it didn't fix the problem, but i don't think it is the feeder's problem. i wrapped the bar with teflon tape over the notch and that made a big different. since you have to use an elbow with it, the hopper sticks out further and makes you a little more vulnerable to hopper hits, unless you are left handed.. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
it's a good upgrade. it doesn't block your sight like the power feeds and it won't fall off or shake as much as the stock plastic piece. i think it is the best option of the ones available. i'm giving it a 9 because of the profile issue. |

| Review: |
I got this guy on eBay for about five bucks. I was searching for an alternative to an electric feed system for my M98. If you buy it, you will also need a 45deg elbow that works on your hopper.
The installation could have been easier. It was a little snug when I put it on and it didn't like to move, so I oiled up the hinge and cured that problem. No biggy. Also, it did't fit around the flatline shroud so I had to trim it a little. The feeder covers up the hack marks so again, no biggy.
I bought this so I could use it with the RT trigger. I had heard that you had to do something to prevent the RT trigger from out-shooting the hopper. And this worked! So far it's kept up with the high rate of fire, no skipped balls here!
The reason for the faster feeding with this as apposed to the stock feeder, is that the Lapco feeder uses blow-back gasses to create a vacuum and chamber the ball faster. The smooth inside of the feeder also helps speed up the the feeding of the paintblalls. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
It works great as an alternative to an electric feeder. I would highly recommend it.

| Weaknesses: |
-Increases gun profile
-Requires an elbow |
 |
| Review: |
Overall a very good product. I use a red dot sight, so I needed to move the hopper more to the side. This does the trick nicely. When coupled with an elbow, it holds 7 balls in the neck, which gives your hopper more time to feed balls if it jams.
This will increase your gun's profile a bit however. It moves the hopper to the right and up a little (because it requires an elbow). This was perfect for me though because the stock feedneck blocks my view a little. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Its worth a look if you are using a sight or scope, but not necessary otherwise. |

 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
It allows you to store 7 (not counting the one in the chamber) paintballs in your elbow instead of 3 which means it will feed a little faster and you are less likely to chop a ball
Its a piece of machined aluminum
Made my a respected company
this is what a lapco rep said
"The expanded area volume inside the Direct Feed takes in the blowback pressure and then when the ball drops down in it's vicinity the blowback gases then create a downward pressure on the ball to force it into the gun's ball chamber to fire the next shot"
so it does help the feeding of paintballs in more than one way |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
it raises your hopper and therefore increasing your profile
its a little pricy for what it does |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I was pleased with its performance and I would recommned it to someone who can spare $25 for this minor performance upgrade |

 |
| Review: |
Perfect add on for use with Q-loader loading system. looks better then the stock plastic piece. could be cheaper for what it is. elbows are replace able at the field or from a friend of another player, if you break a stock plastic piece you are S.O.L. good luck! |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Great for my set up a must for upgrading your tippy's rate of fire |

| Review: |
I just tested this today and it really did seem like it made the BPS go up espcially with my ZAP loader i put it on went out side and it shot further and harder i dont really know how it does it (it might be because it is slanted a lot more than the stock feed)but it is really efective and reccomend it but if you dont by and elbow your hopper wont fit on so buy an elbow at the same time you buy this and overall this is a great and cheap upgrade. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This is a good upgrade for people who play speedball a lot it is also good for recreational play but it will bring up your BPS and help you out. |

| Review: |
I have to give it a fair chance since i have been a little behind i have used this product for about a year and it IS a great product,so here it is.
PROS:Its strong and light(made from T6061 billet aluminum)
Stops the dreaded hopper wobble
Holds more balls than the stock (due to the need of an elbow)
Cons:Price for a few bucks more you can get a cyclone feed
More hopper exposure
I originally got this so I could mount a scope on my beloved Custom 98 and it did that. But I seen the Cyclone feed and decided on it (see my review on it).It does eliminate hopper wobble i would say 80 to 90%so it does one good thing. The other good thing since it requires an elbow it makes more room for paintballs to feed, but on the down side of that it moves your hopper over an inch and up an inch so your hopper is more exposed to incomming fire.Overall its a great product just due to the cyclone feed outdated(unless you are going to an electric hopper). Now the real ugly part of it .If you have the money for this you are ALMOST to a Cyclone feed so i mean its really up to the indvidual on what they wantall I am saying it does what LAPCO says it will.
|
 |
| Conclusion: |
It does what it says it will but for the price you could almost get a cyclon feed so its up to the buyer which way they go with this. |
