I have used many other autocockers before and I dare compare it to any other!
Marker Setup: 2002 Vertebrate Autococker green w/14in.Dye Boomstick,Egg Hopper,68cu
4500psi tank,32 degrees Teeter Frame,Black Magic Regulator, stock front end kit,and Orracle Drop forward.
Recommended
Upgrades:
I recommend getting a Dye double swing trigger,WGP double swing Trigger,or a 32 Degrees Teeter Frame which is working fine for me,or you could get an E-blade for your gun which makes this gun freakin rip like a mo fo.And for the barrel a Boomstick.
Strengths: The gun looks sweet is quiet and accurate,I dare compare it to an orracle
Weaknesses: The trigger that comes with the gun sucks I recommend a serious upgrade, very loud.
Review: What more can I say than sweet!!!!This gun rips,it is also one of the best looking guns i have ever seen,it looks crazy!Once you test this gun out you'll never wanna put it down.I loved this gun from the first time ive shot it.This gun's hard to find due to how expensive it was for WGP to make.So if you find one keep it.It is also extremely light it weighs like two and a half pounds. When I go to the field everyone wants to shoot it.I definetely recommend this gun.
Conclusion: Go get this gun,buy a boomstick and e blade and you'll look and feel like a pro. This gun will make you feel like a freakin navy seal

Tons of cockers. Currently in posession of minicocker serial number 00028. Bought 1 electro, a 2003 Bushy had it Vaporized and addeded some extra goodies and sold it 3 weeks later. Couldn't stand it. Only Cockers for me from now on!

Upgrades:
Listen, this thing rips right out of the box but as everyone knows if you have a cocker ya have to upgrade it. Is it necessary? Not always. If I took my marker, blindfolded the shooter (not safe but go with me) and had him shoot it and then took a stock mini magic or vertebrate and had them shoot that I bet 8 out of 10 people wouldn't notice a difference. Just my opinion. Of course upgrading this marker to the hinge frame gives you a higher rate of fire than the slide but I can shoot the slide pretty fast after all of these years. The barrel has a pretty large bore so it's always a good idea to have multiple barrels available.
Strengths: Can you say ACCURATE! Like a lazer! No batteries required. Rare!
Weaknesses: Not as fast as the Angel, Timmy's or Reflex Bushy.
Review: Well what can I say? I love this marker. I liked it right out of the box and I like it even more with the hinge trigger. When I review something it's always reviewed the way it comes out of the box with no upgrades. The milling on this marker is awesome and well done. I particularly like the milling on the top of the frame, very nice. No paint breaks yet after about 4 cases and the marker was timed perfectly and ready to play right from the factory. Crazy accurate with a Boomy or Freak (I use both) due to the closed bold operation. Stock barrel has a nice finish and is pretty accurate with big bore paint.
Conclusion: As stated earlier I love this marker. Not as light as the Orracle and maybey not as sexy but it 's definately more rare. Performance is close but the edge out of the box has to go to the Orracle. The Vertebrate does earn other points thought. Listen I don't give anything a 10, nothing is perfect, nothing. It loses points for not coming with the hinge and WGP does make a nice front kit in the Orracle so it has to lose points for that. It does gain some points for the look and the fact that it's a mini. Overall I have to give it an 8 out of the box but in the current configuration I have it in I would say mine is a 9. I have never been happier with a marker, NEVER!

Products Used:
-Kapp autocockers
-WGP autocockers
-Pretty much any mid to high level autococker in the market
Marker Setup: -A green/ black 2002 vertibrate minicocker that came stock with the works ( such as a black magic regulator, milled back block, etc.)
- Halo TSA hopper
-48 steel crossfire nitro tank
- Cp on/off
Recommended
Upgrades:
-Barrel
-Pneumatic reg.
-Bolt
-The gun also doesn't come with an on/off or a macro line (even though a drop is supplied with it).
Strengths: -Accuracy
-Weight
-Size
-Milling
Weaknesses: -Heavy barrel, i think it could be used as a weapon.
- Pneumatic reg.
Review: - You should definitely get a new bolt, because even though it comes with a venturi, i personally don't like metal bolts because they are heavy AND they can scratch the inside of the body if you don't oil it.
- A lighter barrel is always a good investment even though the one it comes with is a VERY nice barrel.
-You should think about a new pneumatic reg because the one it comes with isn't adjustable.

Let me help you with a little autococker lesson. The way this gun was made was the milling was done but then someone anodized the ribs and top of the gun BY HAND which is very costly. The MS RP for the gun is really in the 900's but it never sold well so now we get it for 500. The last set that was sent out by wgp was in 2002. So when you get this gun, i suggest you find some time and fill up a tank and get some gun oil and sit down for a while. First take out the timing rod.You need to put oil in the ASA, the bolt and in the line like the macro line. Then cycle it for like 20-30 shots and add some more oil, then cycle it for a long time. Do it as much as you want but you need to cycle it for a very long time.

The reason you cycle it, is because the gun was set up in 2002, and it wasn't oiled or used for 2 years.

The gun is dead accurate when you first use it, But you need a big bore paint because midnight just slides through it. The barrel is way heavy though so you might want to get another one. A new trigger is a nice investment BUT is defiantly necessary.

This gun is pretty much a black magic but with different milling and some different parts.

It is also a minicocker which means that it is lighter AND more compact in design so its great for any player, front or back because i can shoot around 7-8 bps with my finger on a slide trigger and this is my first autococker, but i had a lot of close friends that helped me out.

Its definitely a good gun as is stock and you'll have no problems and no regrets about buying it. Great gun for any one, beginner mid or pro player. Its definitely an eye catcher.
Conclusion: I defiantly recommend the gun because not only is it a very rare gun to find, but it is also a a very nice gun to have because it is already upgraded with a lot of new stuff such as a one piece front ASA/ front block , or milled lightened back block.
If you find it for cheap, you should most definitely pick it up because the milling is what makes it worth it. It is also a great gun for a front player because of the size but can be good for the back player because it is fast stock, but of course your not gonna get the speed of a bushmaster or Timmy because the race fram is the only thing that can allow you to go that fast, not even the eblade can let you do that.

Marker Setup: 2002 WGP Vertebrate Minicocker, DYE 14" Boomstick, stock pneumatics, stock bolt, AIM Battle Axe Hinge Trigger, Silver System X Drop-forward with on/off valve, WGP grips, Twisted Cocking Rod, Black Evo2 Hopper with Y-Board, 47/3000 Centerflag Nitro tank
Recommended
Upgrades:
Definitely replace the stock slide trigger with a hinge, it'll really speed up the rate of fire. Replacing the stock bolt isn't a bad idea, it'll wear after a while anyhow. Stock barrel is ok, not tournament grade. A Boomstick or another high-end barrel should do it.
Strengths: Fast, Accurate, with proper upgrades very quiet. Awesome milling. Black Magic ASA is tight.
Weaknesses: Stock gun is loud, not as fast as other cockers. Slide trigger sucks.
Review: All in all, it's a great gun. It can shred right out of the box in rec ball, it looks awesome, and with the right upgrades there is no better non-electronic marker out there. It's light, compact, and very fast and accurate. Plus, find cooler milling on a cocker. You can't. It runs well on both nitro and co2, and rarely ever chops paint. I can only dream what thing thing would be like with an E-Blade.
Conclusion: Buy it. It's rather cheap for being as good as it is, it looks cool, and shoots just as awesome as it looks. It's small, so it doesn't take up much space when you're hiding behind a bunker or in a trench. Go for this gun, you won't regret it.

Any autococker with out a electronic trigger.
Marker Setup: Green Mimi Vertebrate, Hinge trigger, 72ci pure enegry tank, dye front block, new bolt(plastic) , boomstick barrel, couple of other things
Recommended
Upgrades:
Stuff...like plastic bolt, trigger frame(dont like single trigger frame, barrel but the stock isnt bad if u dont have the money to get a new barrel instintly
Strengths: nice body
works well
regulator is nice
Weaknesses: Trigger frame
Kind of loud
Review: ??? review body??? well the body is light and sexy, fun to stroke and look at. buy this at xpaintball for 500$ and you can get the hinge trigger for 25$...Trigger frame is not good(dont like the single trigger). The gun is kinda loud outta the box so do something about that...Nicest body!!! I mean this is the sexiest thing i have ever seen, shoots nice as any other cocker which i like, regulator worked well
Conclusion: i love this gun works well and is light and is affordable for a autococker i didnt like the trigger frame that is all. this gun deservs a 9.5 but i cant give it that so i will round to a 10 (-.5 for the frame)

Spanky Minicocker, custom built 99 r/f cocker, stock 2k2 cocker. I found the vertebrate to be more smooth/reliable. You may wish to note that I left the vertebrate stock outside of the hinge, and the 3 other guns listed were not. Worr makes super solid products when you get out of the basic models.
Marker Setup: Vertebrate Minicocker w/ WGP hinge, 68/3k PMI Nitro, System X or Kapp D-Zone 3.
Recommended
Upgrades:
Maybe a new barrel, the stock is made by J&J, but the stainless back makes it somewhat heavy, but not boomstick heavy.
Strengths: Reliable, looks cool, very hard to come by.
Weaknesses: Way higher in price because of the body.
Review: Its just a black magic with a nicer body. In my opinion its a far nicer body, and its very light weight. I haven't had any problems with it. They are becoming increasingly hard to find since the company that did them went under. If you don't fall in love with the body design, then you should go with the Black Magic since they share the same parts. There is no 2k3 vertebrates, so it wont come with a hinge like the 2k3 black magics. In fact, you could probley find a used Orracle at around the same price as a used Vertebrate. It may sound like I'm knocking the product and awful lot, but the only real problem is with the price.
Conclusion: If you can find it for around the price of a black magic, then go for it. Otherwise, you'll really have to like the body to pay the price differance. No gun is perfect, so I'm giving it a 9. If I was to be really nitpicky, I'd say the only real fault is the non-adjustable front reg, a couple brass parts, and a basic (yet solid) 3-way.

Upgrades:
comes with a slide trigger, put a hinge on it, mabey new pneumatics later.
Strengths: tns2k2 was a little off about this one, it comes in so many colors you cant imagine, you can put any color on the vertebrate that you want. Its super light. not super rare but on the rare side. no 2 guns are the same.
Weaknesses: well almost nothing but it should come with a hinge, but i think that the 2003s are so no big deal, mabey orracle pnuematics stock for more adjustability.
Conclusion: This is one of my favorite gun i have ever used and it is the best gun ive ever owned. wgp did a great job upgrading the black magic to this.

If you are a back player, maybe a longer barrel, but for front players the 10 inch barrel is surprizingly, very accurate...
Strengths: The milling on this marker is great. The first time I took it to my local paintball store the people inside envyed it and said it looked like an alien gun. It is very light and low profile, only 2 oz. more than the orracle. Surprizingly accurate. I'm leaving the 10 inch barrel on mine, I play front so its great for me. It is not overly expensive. Got mine for 688
Weaknesses: There are only a few things I do not like about this gun. The front pnumatics are not easily ajustible, and the trigger is rather stiff, but with a little practice, you can fly, just like on any cocker.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a new gun, try the mini-vertebrate, they shoot, and look sweet... Can't beat that.....

HPA is a must!! a hinge would also be nice. revolution and mayby a freak barrel
Strengths: This gun is very well balanced with a nice stock trigger pull and fast cycle rate.
very sweet milling and the black magic regulator works well. the stock barrel is accurate. unloaded a hopper of paint in like 10 seconds.
Weaknesses: the only thing i can think of is if you have slightly smaller paint than your barrel size somtimes the ball rolls out of your barrel before you shoot. amy be a little pricey for some. doesn't come with a hinge like the black magic mini. should come in more colors.
Conclusion: if you like cockers and you want something new try this gun out. I dont think you will be dissapointed. super fast!! an d light also milling looks really cool!!
