Marker Setup: WGP Orr-acle Clear Matte, 14 inch Kaner Barrel, Lapco Drop Foward Chrome, Orr-acle Pneumatics, View Loader Evolution II Clear, Centerflag 68ci 4500psi Carbon Rapped HPA System
Recommended
Upgrades:
Absolutely nothing, the Orr-acle comes all upgraded, maybe an E-blade or Worr Blade if you want to match up with the big boys
Strengths: Extremely accurate
Incredibly fast
Great Stock Barrel (Kaner)
Milling
Weaknesses: Very expensive, but it was worth every penny.
Review: Pros:
- Faster speed than any WGP cocker out there, without the eblade.
- Unsurpassed accuracy, better than an angel in accuracy
- Very Quite, all you hear is a quite tsk tsk tsk noise
- Milling is just brilliant, I guarantee you everyone near you and sitting near you will look
over their shoulders and stare at it.
- Comes with all the current WGP upgrades, so you need no upgrades on it
- Great stock barrel, the Kaner barrel, which is just as good as a DYE Boomstick
- Lighter than regular autocockers (especially lighter than tippmanns)
- The stock orr-acle hinge trigger is really stylish, and fast
- Add an eblade and this would be just as good as a timmy, not as fast, but much more accurate
Cons:
- Price, but it was worth every single penny of it, great purchase
-Well absolutely nothing after that
Conclusion: I recommend this to all you die hard autococker fans out there, this is THE cocker of the century. There is a reason it's called the Orracle. With it's accuracy, speed, and pneumatics this is one of the greatest cocker in the history of paintballing.

Review: I don't know what to say about this gun before I start, I'm just amazed, so I'll just jump right in.
---Strengths---
Accurate- Now, I know I'm gonna get chewed out for saying this, and I may be wrong, but 'cockers are more accurate in the sense that they are closed bolt. It is true that they have less kick to them on the whole becuz they have less kick, meaning less time taken for reaquiring your target. Also, becuz a it is virtually impossible for a paintball to have a PERFECT fit with a barrel (down to micro-meters) they will have a tiny bit of turbulence in the barrel while they travel; thats why a lot of barrels have porting, to decrease the turbulence and drag in the barrel. Closed bolt systems have the least amount of this becuz, unlike open bolt or blow back barrels, the bolt is in the closed postition when the gun is fired and doesn't actually hit the ball. Instead, it pushes it into the end of the barrel before firing and uses a (usually) low pressure gas to propel the ball. The low pressure of the Orracle (about 230 psi) only uses volume to propel the ball down the barrel instead of having some help from the bolt like an open bolt or blow back gun. This means the ball is constantly speeding up while it travels down the barrel instead of reaching its maximum velocity towards the back of the barrel and slowing down and gaining turbulence as it reaches the end, like with an open bolt or blow back marker. Now, most of this will be unnoticeable if you have a good paint to barrel match, but I figured I'd try my best to clear that up (This is still under heavy debate, so you may have a different opinion and are entitled to that, just don't flame me). With all that aside, the barrel included with the Orracle is usually a .689 Kaner barrel which is a very good barrel, and if you use ~.689 calliber, or have/want a barrel kit, you will have one of the most accurate guns money can buy. I love it!

Fast- I've heard you can get it up to 12 bps without a Worrblade, I haven't yet, but I have wussy fingers. Anyway, I love the trigger, which I think is pretty short for a mech gun.

Looks- generally speaking, normal 'cockers aren't known for their looks. This isn't a normal 'cocker.

Quiet- Becuz of the relatively low operating pressure, the orracle is very quiet. Sounds like a typewriter.

Quality- No loose or rattle-y pneumatics that I've found with a FEW 04 verts and outkasts (04 verts and Outkasts are still absolutely marvelous guns). Very nice bolt and overall a very very good quality gun. The Orracle front kit is a marvelous front kit, and costs around $160 seperate, but comes stock with the orracle; as does a single kaner barrel, a great regulator,an impressive bolt, and all the other parts. I can't explain how great the quality of this gun is, all I can say is that you won't have to upgrade anything to have a sweet gun.

Upgradability- Though you won't need to upgrade anything you still can. All 'cockers are very upgradable, and I would highly recommend a Worrblade. I don't have one yet, but I've shot an E-orracle and its an experience you will cherish for the rest of your life.

Price- $600 in some places, $1000 in others, try shopping online.

US made- The deciding factor for buying this gun. (for me) The few people that say US quality isn't as good as European are mistaken. Though US cars have a reputation for being bad, the competition and demand for quality in a free market society insures the quality of almost all US made goods. Plus, Quality is what the US is known for in all other kinds of goods. God Bless America. (not to say I don't like Europeans or any other countries/continents. I love and respect people from any country, so don't think I'm trying to start a political debate)

Hand Made- I just had a chance to talk to a Worr representative, and I found out that ALL Orr-acles (not sure about Mini-orracle) are handmade by Bud Orr's son, and a few by Bud himself. That solves the question as to why there's only about 5000 out there.
---Weaknesses---
Discontinued- WGP quit making these at the end of 2003, but still has some in mint condition in its various warehouses. Sadly, I talked to a representative of a paintball store over the phone and he informed me that he has just ran out of stock as of yesterday ot the Orracle (not mini-orracle or MI orracle, those they still have) and are only expecting to get two more. The orracle has been replaced by the mini-orracle which weighs a bit less but other than that has the same performance.
***note*** Even though then gun isn't being made anymore, it still has the same parts as its replacement; it just weighs more and is a bit bigger. WGP will still service the gun and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Weight- Not bad, jus a bit heavier than the mini-orracle, but hey, thats why they call it a mini.

Color- Could do with some more color choices, I personally don't like blue matte as much as a fade, but if you really have a problem with the color, you can send your gun in to WGP and they will custom anodize if for you, for a price, of course.

Beaver tail- My only disappointment when I got the gun was a very minor one. The stock beaver tail is pretty plain for such a nicely milled and quality gun. But hey, that's nothing.

Needs Nitro- This is expected of a high-end gun, but some people don't want to pay $200 for a tank. Believe me, it'll make a huge difference in performance, plus Co2 will mess up your O-rings quite often meaning you'll have to replace them.

UPDATE:

So I've used this gun for years now -- still use it as my primary gun. I have bought and sold other guns of course, but none of them compare to my Orracle. Electronic guns are great and all, but that Orracle has been 100% reliable throughout the years -- I just can't say the same for the electronics I've used. While there's been numerous newer models of autocockers, I still think that the craftsmanship of the Orracle is superior to these newer guns and I've not seen a comparable autococker that out-performs the Orracle. Still performs at the same level as when I purchased it, and I still definitely recommend one if you come across such an opportunity.
Conclusion: If you have the money, buy it. The MSRP for the Orracle used to be $1050, which is what the mini-orracle's MSRP is now. The actual price though is more like $600. That's about 43% off, which is a very good deal. Be aware though that with a 68/4500 nitro tank, a revvy or egg, and a barrel kit, the total will come out to about $1128.75 (with 7.5% sales tax); and with a worrblade added onto all that, about $1558.75(with 7.5% sales tax), so be prepared to spend a bit more than $600 if you don't have that equipment already. The Orracle is a phenominal gun for intermediate, advanced, or tourney players. I don't like giving a gun a 10 out of 10, I'd give it more like a 9.8 becuz of a few TINY weaknesses, but if you round, that comes out to a 10.

If you plan on upgrading this, do me a favor. Gimme your address so I can come over and present you with a swift kick to lower region. How dare you. This gun is already upgraded to the max with all the latest parts for autocockers. That is the purpose of buying this gun. All you need is a hopper and a compressed tank, and your set.
Strengths: - Upgraded with all the latest and best parts
- Adjustable 3-way (Makes timing a whole lot easier)
- Accurate WGP barrel (shoots darts)
- Unbelievable hinge
- Awesome milling

All this plus your backed by a strong waranty and good company. Nothing compares.
Weaknesses: Nothing really. Some people would say the price is too high, but it is actually worth every penny.
Conclusion: This is a no brainer. If you have the money, you should immediately visit your local paintball store and get one. If you don't have the money and you are looking for a good marker to buy, start saving. Absolutely the best and most accurate gun you can buy for the money. This gun runs laps around angels. You wont regret buying this. It has officially replaced my teddy bear at night and I guarantee you will feel the same way.

Weaknesses: -The beavertail
-The Black Magic reg tarnishes
-The STO ram, really rough
-Stainless ball detent
Review: I love this marker. Right out of the box the thing is awsome. The first time I took it to the field I noticed an enormous improvement in my game. The gun is light, fast, accurate, and quiet. This is the kind of marker that turns heads where ever you go.
The trigger is adjustable, so the trigger pull can be made really short, at least in comparison to other non-electric cockers. I love the feel of the Orracle trigger. I think it's the perfect shape. It's sleek, smooth and gives you a good grip on the trigger.
The milling is amazing. Not only does it take a lot of the weight off the marker, but it makes the gun look sooooooo sleek and sexy. The milling on the inline reg matches the milling on the tickler, which matches the milling on the 3-way, which matches the milling on the cocking rod, which matches the milling on the bolt, which matches the milling on the pull pin. It looks great together.
The Kaner barrel is a great barrel, and the color is perfectly matched to the gun, which makes it look better than just a black barrel or something like that. There is no need to replace the Kaner unless you want to be able to use different bore sizes, in which case you can just buy new barrel backs.
WGP gives you high and low rise feed necks so you can customize your gun. I don't really use the high rise, but it's nice that it's there.
The Delrin bolt is really nice. No more oil for me! It's really smooth too. The bolt and my eclipse ram are so smooth that the back block just slides back and forth when I tip the gun up and down (when there is no air in it of course). I don't even have to tip it very far, it only takes a little tilt up or down.

Now for the bad:

The beavertail is kind of disapointing. It's bassically a peice of machine stamped metal that's folded at one end. I expected more from a gun that cost so much.
The STO ram was really sticky with me. I noticed a huge difference it slickness when I got the eclipse ram, which is SO smooth.
The Black Magic regulator seems to tarnish really easily. I havn't had mine for that long and it already noticably duller in comparison with my other chrome parts. It doesn't look that bad, but its still disapointing. The Tickler has tarnished a little bit, but not nearly as much as the Black Magic. The Black Magic might have tarnished so much because of how much I hold it, but my chrome E-Blade hasn't tarnished like that, though I only bought the E-Blade about two months ago.
The Orracle comes with a stainless steel ball detent. For the money I payed, I think WGP could have afforded to give me a delrin ball detent, but this isn't a problem at all really. I'm just a perfectionist.
I had some minor air leaks a lot of the times i went to play, but it was only related to the gun once. The rest of the time the leaks came from the bottomline, drop, tank, etc. The leak on the gun was from that plug under the front block.
When I got the Orracle there were a few MINOR nicks in the body. They are really small, almost un-noticable, and the only reason I saw them was because I was closely studying the milling. I got a padded case to put the Orracle in to protect the miling. I'm just that paranoid.
Conclusion: Overall this is an amazing Marker. If I could make the decision to buy the Orracle all over again, I would definately still get it. There are some small things that could be better, but everything has its problems and I'm a huge perfectionist. I don't know what else to say, so I'll leave you with this: There are a lot of markers in the same price range, and I havn't used them all, but I'm sure you won't be disapointed with the Orracle. Not only does it perform well, but it's a work of art. The milling is so sweet. If you can get over the price, I definately sugest buying the Orracle.

Review: Ok, prior to owning this marker I had a Tippmann A-5. Sigh, I know, I know. To say the least it was a major step up. I had nothing but problems with my old A-5. And after months and months of messing around with it and praying that it would work, I said to myself "gee maybe I should sell this piece of junk!". The reason I had so many problems was, I put way too many mods on it and it after a while it just stopped working.

Anyway, I'm reviewing the Orracle not the Tippmann A-5. After looking for a great deal of time on various markers between$300.00 and $600.00, I finally settled on the good old stand by, the WGP Orracle. Why? Well, I had heard many good things about Autocockers dependability, reputation and accuracy. I had looked at Bushy's, Angels, Dragun, and of coarse Autocockers. For a long time I had seriously thought about buying a B2K4 w/pds. There are lots of reasons why I chose the Orracle over the B2K4 w/pds, its more RELIABLE, ACCURATE, little maintenance, and it comes fully loaded stock. The Bushy's just aren't as good as the Autocockers people. Don't buy a Bushy! Nobody carries them around here. Why? Because they have way too many problems! Yes, they're fast and cool looking but they just don't compare to the Autococker.

Oh yeah, one more VERY IMPORTANT thing. The manual for Autocockers is a standard universal manual. A though they don't tell you this, but each cocker model is a little different from one and other. The instructions indicate that the Orracle has a safety. It doesn't! It is actually the CAM adjuster. Thinking it was the safety, I popped it out with a pencil. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT do this! It was at a local proshop waiting for the CAM adjuster spring to be replaced. It had been sitting there for 3 weeks now and that bummed me out because I couldn't play with it.
Anyway, to sum it all up buy the Orracle! You will not regret it! It come nicely equipped at $600.00. Can't afford it? Save your money. Its worth every penny!

*EDIT*

One year later and I still love my Orracle. I've dumped about $600 into it since last year and I'll be the first to tell you that it absolutely kicks ass! I just got an E2 for a new ram and the accuracy and ROF is out of this world. If you do buy and Orracle have fun being the envy of every player on the field, no joke. After building mine up it is truly a monster! It has earned the nickname "the beast" my many store owners. Get it today and you will not regret the decision.

If you have any questions at all about the Orracle please feel free to drop me an E-mail!

*EDIT #2*
Oh boy, I still have the Orracle as of May 21, 2005. I thought I come back and give a little more input on what I think of the Orralce, and how my opinion has changed over time. As of now I am trying to sell my Orracle *hint hint* and I am having a difficult time. Why? Cockers are "old" technology by some players standards and they don't want a cocker.

I now feel that after sinking close to $600 into my Orralce that I am not getting the performance that I payed for. Why? It chops (yes the eyes are on, its timed correctly, etc.) , the cocking rod and the tank work their way out of alignment because its shooting so fast, and the accuracy insn't quite there.

Before you flame me, hear this. I put some decent 32 Degress Competition paint through my Orralce and it turned into a virtual blender. Pink gooze everywhere. The accuracy was very poor for a cocker considering I was shooting decent paint and the paint matched my bore size correctly. Ok, this sort of thing almost NEVER happens but I thought that it might've been the paint itself. So, I filled up my friends Shocker with the same exact paint and away I went. Not one damn ball chopped! And on top of that it was insanely accurate! What? How? I don't know.

This experience spurred me to sell my Orracle and buy a Shocker. Why? Cheaper, LESS MOVING PARTS, very accurate, zero kick, and they are very light weight. Keep in mind that I havn't sold my Orracle yet, but I do plan on purchasing a Shocker as soon as I sell mine.

My advice, don't buy a mech cocker just save your pennies and buy a Shocker. However, I loved my Orracle when it was mech and simple. Now I hate it, sorry to all of you WGP fans out there but I had a terrible experience with mine. I still love WGP, but my Orracle just doesn't cut it.
Conclusion: BUY IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to make your opponent wish he never played against you and your Autococker, buy the Orracle! You'll also be turning heads left and right- as if thats not a bad thing. I have to caution you, if you absolutely hate lots of attention and respect, don't buy the Orracle. But if you do, its a definite must have for any player no matter what your age or skill level!

PLEASE READ EDIT #2 FOR THE REAL STORY ON THE ORRACLE.

Review: I got this gun about two years ago and i could not be happier with its performance and reliability. For a mech gun it seems to have impressive speed and air efficiency. It also has one of the best stock barrels (kanner) on any gun. If you are into woods ball this is definitely the gun for you. On the other hand, this gun cannot keep up stock on the speed ball fields. I would recommend investing in an E-blade or Worrblade. The only bad part about this is that the E-blade is just as expensive as the gun itself and you went from buying a reasonably priced marker to a very expensive one that will not give you the speed that guns of the same price will. Besides that, i cannot think of any reason that someone would not like this marker. Out of the many times I've played with it, it has never broken down and I rarely chop paint. It has great accuracy and is impressive to look at.
Conclusion: This gun is one of the best I've ever used. I would recomend this gun to anyone who wants a mech that will perform with great reliablilty and accuracy.

Strengths: comes w/ all sweet parts.GREAT accuracy, Very consistant, and fabulous annodizing
Weaknesses: Kinda slow compared to any electronic markers. Alot of moving parts.
Review: EDIT '05: alright guys just letting you all know how my cocker is doing. well it is now my backup gun (proto). its still performing as well as my first shot through it. i didnt notice at the time but after a few years of using it and shooting many other markers, my cocker is extremly efficiant. i get a over a case of paint per 68/45 fill. ive notice its pretty consistant also with about +/- 3 on the chrono. i still kept my cocker mech surprizingly but i like it. i made a few mods which made the trigger about 50% lighter, but other then that i still kept it stock. still use the stock kanar but some extra backs were added. works fine for me. even though people say cockers are a tihng of the past, i am still amazed with its performance. i get little kick but it is still there. my running pressure is set low, piches paint instead of chops. timeing doesnt get off all too often, only when tards screw with your front block and like to see you get pissed... haha o well timing came easy to me. it takes me about 15 seconds to time my marker. even though it is now my backup gun i will never sell it. even if i wanted to, i wouldnt get the amont of money i wanted. well hope this new review helped.
Conclusion: Still after about 3 years of product use i still am impressed. although if you are looking to keep up with the competition theres cheaper faster markers out. but if speed doesnt really matter and you want sometihng with some beauty, this is a good marker to look into if its cheap. jsut be sure you would want to stay with it because of its horrible resale value.

Did i menton Accurate as hell
Weaknesses: umm everyone on the other team hates you
Review: I love this its absolutely the best cocker ever made in my opinion i would buy it right away if i had the money. the gun is so accurate i can one shot opponents from like 300 feet. Its such a paint saver. the trigger pull takes some use getting to but you can customize it to. I think this gun is a must buy for every player wether its your backup or starting gun you should own this baby. Also it runs ver low psi like 170 wich is cool. Also everyone is in awwwwwwwwwwwwwww if you own this gun everyone wants to have it its scary.
Conclusion: i recomend this to anyone if you want to kill more enemies and you dont like wasting paint to do it. Also do what you have to to get this gun. i suggest you get a job or a second job and maybe steal a few bucks on the side and then buy this baby

Upgrades:
none really but i got a new ram for there are really no need for upgrades for this gun
Strengths: it very realiable, paint groupings are close, little to no kick, efficent ,looks
Weaknesses: The price
Review: This is a really good gun man no joke this is a quite gun.The orracle is gas efficant cocker due to the fact that its valve works at 230psi. While some cockers valves work at around 350psi(vert. feed cockers).

When you get any cocker its pretimed so no need to mess with it. It also comes with a cam adjuster which allows you to adjust you trigger pull as long or as short as you like.there was extentsive milling done to the marker which makes it light. The ORR-ACLE also come with the CT-3 way which is an extenally adjusted 3 way.

The price of this marker varys from site to site 650-750$ all in all this is an awsome marker.
Conclusion: This is one of the best cocker ive seen it relaible, light, consistant, the only drawback is like all cockers you should keep it well maintained. there were really no timing issues with this gun it may take a while to learn how to time it but its worth leaning how i reccomend this gun to any player who has been play for a while and wants to kick it up to the next level
