The R.A.I.L. (RAised Intelligence Level) Mod is a kit that DeadlyWind developed that can turn most any open-bolt blow-back paintball marker(ie- Spyder) into a true closed-bolt operation.
Product Availability

Paintball Experience:
More than 5 years
Marker Setup:
Spyder shutter witha all the fixins
Strengths:
This mod was the cream of the crop for my gun i was always trying to get it as quiet as possible and this mod did it'll make yourgun extremely quiet, and it will add accuracy to yourgun unlike tbone said if you compare to your most common spyders with this mod your creating less distortion of the paintball enhance allows it to fly straighter once it's left the barrel
Weaknesses:
there really wasn't any bad that i can recall at first i thought i would have a hard time with the hoses by they never got tangled up or in the way once and i never choppend which i thought would be a pain if that ever happens because with this kit it's not to field strippable anymore
Conclusion:
if i had it to do all over again i'd do it, i have no regrets and i was happy in the long run
A Spyder Flash with Nitro Duck 90ci. 4500 psi nitro a ans genx reg, a smart parts twisted bolt, a dye boomy, and the new R.A.I.L kit and way too many other things to list , will kick a angels ass any day
Strengths:
THis makes the gun quiet. My gun was pretty load and was looking into a way to quiet it down and this is easily the best way to do it. It also makes the gun a lot more accurate. I have a 16" boomstick which makes for a very accurate gun but once you add this kit on it is right on the dot accurate. You get soo many looks with this gun. They want to know what the hell it is, it lloks like a spyder but has no beavertail and air hoses.
Weaknesses:
You have an external 3 way and a reg so you have the air hoses running on the outside of you gun, and i like to slide and have had to rep-lace them more than once. You have to get macro line and make your own connections and stuff.
Conclusion:
it is so worth your money if you want to go pro but don't feel like buying a expensive gun. I love it and is one of the greatest upgrades you can make to a spyder next to a barrel.
Deadly Wind RAIL Kit (Changed the standard KAPP 3 way with a new red ANS Bomb 3 way.), Equation USA Multiple Switch Barrel System (Adapters:
Clear, Concave .686, .688, .690 Extension: Scope
Muzzle: Clear, EK-47), PMI Pure Energy Regulator, PMI Perfect Drop (Modified with On/Off), Dye Sticky Grips, Smoke Gem Series 12v Rev with JMJ Impeller, PMI 68ci 4500psi Pure Energy Fiber Wrap HPA Tank with Red WDP LocSocs
Strengths:
It's QUIET!!! Super quiet. I can use my 2 inch Spyder Sidearm barrel and it shoots great and much quieter than any of the open bolt markers that I've owned/shot. With the marker not moving all the internals all at one time causes the shooter to be more accurate... NOT the marker. The super low OP PSI of the bolt will never cause a chop with the majority of paints out there. When timed right you can get a smoother operation and feeding of the balls into the breech.
Weaknesses:
My original beta kit included a plastic/delrin mounting block for my bolt/ram combo. My Spyder is not that standard since it was mega tinkered with back in the day so I have some holes tapped where there weren't and some tapped in a different threading. I believe that that was the downfall of my backblock. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though! The man, Colin at Deadly Wind, milled out a new aluminum back block for me and got it shipped asap! They are awesome! (I believe that the new design/materials are now mainstay for the design. Everything is still in beta though...) I don't seem to find any issues with the hoses. I slide alllll over the place and play both woods and speedball/tournament play. I'm not light on my marker. To date, I've never had an issue with my 3way/hoses.
Conclusion:
Well, if you are looking to turn heads with an upgrade to your Spyder this is the way to go. You will need to learn how to shoot a Spyder like a 'Cocker but that really isn't an issue. Timing is a concern but also not an issue. Great product and parts. When it comes to the acutal release the cost may vary, but if you can still get your hands on the beta kit $150 is not a bad price at all!
