Strengths:
-VERY COMFORTABLE! The dual belt system is a stroke of genius. One belt goes around the waist, and the other belt hooks onto the waist belt and synches it up nice and tight. Its elastic so its not too tight.
-One size fits almost everyone. I am scrawny and have a 30 inch waist and it can accomidate much smaller people. It also has enough play on the belts that is can easily accomidate my dad, who has a 40 inch waist. Unless you are HUGE, like 250 lbs, this pack will fit.
-Holds 140s. Very nice. Pods never fall out like on vert packs. Horozontal system makes them easy to get at.
-Built very well. I've had it a while and treated it very badly and it still looks brand new.
-Camo color looks good in traditional BDUs.
- Best COMFORTABLE belt on the market for the price. Cheaper belts will ALL be significantly less comfortable. All more expensive belts won't be significantly better. This is the perfect marriage of performance and price.
-Feels good to get that geavy tank off your gun. It will significantly improve your performance by allowing you to whip the gun around faster and easier, and also allow you to hold it steadier for more accurate shots. (at least it did for me)
Weaknesses:
-Mine may have been a bit of a fluke, but I can BARELY fit my 88/45 crossfire stubby in the nitro slot. BARELY! It took the combined strength of both me and my father and he got blood blisters on his fingers. Once it got in I wetted it down and stretched it out and it fits perfect now.
- Even with the dual straps, with 560 rounds of paint and an 88/45 nitro tank, it has some bounce near the top. This isn't noticable unless you are doing sprints. I got a pair of wide suspenders from evil mart and the bounce is gone and I can sprit all I want.
Conclusion:
It is my understanding that this pack is exactly identical to the RASE 4+1 halfpack, which is also on this site. Smart Parts does own RASE, and they look exactly identical to me. If you want more reviews, check out the RASE halfpack also. I've got one there too. But I'm bored so heres another.
I'm going to give it an 8. Products are WAY overrated on this site and EVERYBODY hands out tens which should be reserved for products that are near godlike. But this pack is the best pack for the price, very comfy, very usable, and I'm fond of it so I believe it deserves 8. An above average score for an above average product.
Definately my pack of choice and I would recommend it over any other.
