Angels, Timmys, cockers, spyders. That's the closest to this gun I can think of that I've used.
Marker Setup: 2k2 Dye Ultralite Minicocker on nitro
E-ranger on nitro and CO2 with inline reg
Recommended
Upgrades:
If it comes with only an expansion chamber, an inline reg might not be a bad idea. And an electronic hopper is a must for this gun, but nothing too hardcore - something like a 12V revvy should be just fine.
Strengths: Fast, simple, durable, looks good, good features, reliable.
Weaknesses: It's electronic, so it must be kept away from water and moisture when possible.
Review: This is definitely the best gun for under $350 around, and it only costs about $160.

It's more accurate than a Spyder, it comes with an excellent barrel (a 2-piece Kaner barrel), you can get it with a Cocker inline reg on it, it's built like a rock, it's cocker threaded, has a removeable lo-rise, comes with an excellent drop-forward with an on/off ASA, and it's very simple.

But the best thing about this gun: it has a GREAT electronic trigger.

Now, people who say it can keep up with Angels and Timmys either are lying, or are playing against the slowest Angel and Timmy owners alive. Don't get me wrong; this thing is pretty fast (rated at 11BPS), but it's no Angel Speed.

This gun is so great - comes with excellent parts, is fast as all hell, and is built rock solid with tons of options.

Bad news: IT IS NOT BEING PRODUCED ANY LONGER

WGP couldn't keep up with demand, so they discontinued the E-ranger. Snap one up before they're gone forever, right now.
Conclusion: Buy it. Now. They're not being made any longer, so get one while you can. Run, don't walk.

Such an excellent marker for the price.

Electro's Bob Long Timmy, Angel IR3, Mechanicals, various Spyders, Tippman Custom 98, Pro Carbine, View Loader Triton
Marker Setup: View Loader Triton w/ 14" Spyder Barrel & 16 oz Co2 using ZAP, PMI & Diablo Paint. AND just traded up and purchased the E-Ranger. Going to play stock for a while.
Recommended
Upgrades:
If you just want to play, going stock is fine, maybe a longer barrel. If you are really obsessed with spending more to "trick out" your set up, then you can go as far as you'd like, upgrade to HPA carbon fiber wrap 68 cu. in. bolt as well.
Strengths: This is the gun to have. It is rock solid! Built tough, no doubt. It is very basic, it doesn't have all kinds of knobs, buttons and ridiculous gadgets hanging off or sticking out to break. Simplicity and effective. Stock, this gun performs, pretty accurate and fast. They say its rated at 11 bps, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could get one or two more out of it. It has a mouse click trigger. Easy on/off switch. comfortable grips, very light, and the drop forward, well, lets just say, it's a real drop forward, and it definitely helps. It even has an on/off valve, and is solid. This gun kept up with all the Timmy's & Angels on the field, and for the buck, you can't go wrong. I tested it with an HPA, but they say it works well with Co2 as well. We will see, cause that's what I will be using, for a while anyway. This gun didn't chop a single ball all day, and we shot well over 1000 balls. But you want to make sure you don't put crap paint through it either. Best thing to do, is when you first get it, check the o rings and oil them a little. If you are using an HPA, it tends to dry out the o rings, so they need to be kept lubricated and you will be fine. Don't spend 800 or 1000 for a gun when you can get this for less than 200. You can upgrade and still spend less. I really did my homework before I purchased this gun, and it wasn't easy, especially with a budget. Nothing but total satisfaction.
Weaknesses: Not much, but there is always something, no matter what gun you end up with. I learned this checking out reviews and reading specs on every possible gun out there. It all depends what you are looking for and just weigh out the pluses and the dislikes, then go with it. OK, the bad, on/off switch is recessed into the grip, and you have to hold it down, its small but manageable. I am reaching for something here. Could have put on a longer stock barrel, but since its two piece, all you need is a longer tip. Man, that's it, I can't even make anything up. OK, an adjustable trigger??? naaahhhhhhhhh! Not necessary.
Conclusion: It was time to trade up. The E-Ranger is a WGP, and that is one reason for the success of this gun, hell, its the main reason. You can't just look at it on line, you gotta shoot it to see for yourself. It does look good, but it backs it up too. If you have budget within $200, then I would recommend this gun to anyone playing rec or tournaments. Its simple, all the way down, and it kicks butt. I dare you to compare this to the other electro guns on the market out there that are in the same price range. Look seriously, and you will see why you should go with the E-Ranger. This is a new gun, so once the word gets out and the reviews start flowing in, you will see this is going to be a popular marker. It has everything I was looking for, simplicity, solid, fast, and reliable. Good luck, and good hunting.

Marker Setup: E-Ranger Stock with a 12 oz CO2.

Upgrades:
Maybe an electric hopper or a better barrel. If you keep about 50 balls max in the hopper, it can easily feed 11 BPS.
Strengths: I just got it today for Christmas and I am very impressed. I shoots very accurate with the stock barrel. (I went in my back yard and I was hitting trees every time from 50 yards away.) It also shoots very fast. (It can shoot 11 BPS if you can shoot that fast.) It's also really nice that it comes with a great drop forward, inline regulator, and a pretty good 2 piece barrel.
Weaknesses: If you don't want to have to carry extra balls with you, than you might need an electric hopper.
Conclusion: First of all I got an awsome deal on this gun, $189.99 for the gun, case, hopper, spare parts kit, V-Force Mask, and 12 0z CO2. For this price I couldn't rate this gun lower than a 10. Go buy it!

Nothing, get a different gun
Strengths: Looks awesome, great upgrades from the factory.
Weaknesses: It is a blender!! CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS. Very poor design. NO after market parts.
Review: This is my first marker and it has been a headache from the first time I used it. It chops like crazy, I have spent lots of money and time trying to get it working and I have finally given up. I even sent it to WGP to get it warrantied and it still doesn't work. Luckily they are discontinued so I almost didn't bother with writing this review, but I am so mad that I decided to. It blows balls back up into the hopper bad which breaks them. It also has a short bolt (so it doesn't hit the barrel I found out---poor design) so it feeds the ball on deck partway into the chamber which also chops sometimes. I use a Revvy (which is also a piece of junk--see my review) and it didn't help much. I bought an Evil Pipe system (which rocks!--see my review) but that obviously didn't fix the chopping in the chamber. Now my trigger (grip) is not working. it won't fire when it is cocked, It is like it doesn't have enough power (yes, I changed the batteries). I have finally given up trying to fix this gun. It is useless. There were days when it worked great and it almost had me thinking it was a good gun. You will spend more time fixing it than playing with it. I do know 2 other people with the same gun who do not have these problems, but i really think it is only a matter of time before they do. I finally bought a Spyder Xtra for $85 and it is twice, no 10 times better than the ranger. I just bought an Evil Omen that I will be trying out soon. I will post one on that too.
Conclusion: I know this sounds like some way out review, but I am being completely honest. If you don't believe me then email me and I will sell it to you. DO NOT buy this gun. Spend the extra money and buy an Omen or spend less and buy a Spyder Xtra. Either way you will be WAY better off.

Upgrades:
12 v. revve or an electric hopper---
Strengths: -Light trigger pull
-Electric
-made by WGP who makes autococker
-great parts
-no balls chopped in my expierience
Weaknesses: -they have been discontinued
- you dont notice how many balls you are shooting cause it is so fast
-not really anything it's awesome for the beginner
Review: I really liked this gun a lot and i think that it is awesome for a beginner or even an amateur and it is very upgradable because you can put autococker parts on it, i love it. its awesome for speed ball cause it's so fast and for the low price it is a must. YOU must get it, but do it fast cause this is discontinued and only a few places have it. A great gun and you will never regret getting it.

hmmmm... this is my first electro.
Marker Setup: Stock right outta the box

Upgrades:
Freak barrel system for everything(they are awesome), N2, and a fast hopper(something from 10-12 bps)
Strengths: -It's built by WGP so you know you bought a quality item.
-Very fast, gun shoots 10-12 bps easily
-Mouse click trigger(very light)
-Inline regulator is the same as a stock autococker's from WGPso its high quality. (I looked it up and its a 54$ reg. So I won't be upgradeing that ever!)-It is very astetically pleasing
-Comes with a drop forward that couldn't be more comfortable
-Nice carring case
-Comes with a 1 year warranty from WGP
-Batteries last forever on this marker
-Uses Autococker threads for the barrel... very cool, so when i get an autcocker, i just put my new bad ass barrel on it!
Weaknesses: -This marker did not come with the allen rench to open the trigger frame so you can put in the 9volt battery.(no big deal, i had the right one at home anyway)
-Bolt rubs against the ball detent and puts a big black line down the side of the bolt. (normal ware, nothing wrong with that either, just breaking the gun in.)
-It out ran my hopper many times so while a ball was falling into the chamber my bolt caught it in the middle and would jam. ( No big deal, just don't fire too fast with a none electric hopper and get one that is electric!)
Conclusion: -A great gun to get if you eventually want an autococker because every bad ass upgrade you get for this, you can just take off and put on your cocker when you get the autococker you want. I give this gun a 9 because to me a 10 is a gun that is absolutely perfect. A 9 is a very good rateing because i feel that this is one of the best guns for its price and its performance.

Marker Setup: Black Magic mini cocker w/ Smart Parts stainless,68/4500 PMI and then some o' this and some o' that(not really relevant for review)
Recommended
Upgrades:
An aftermarket bolt would be a good one not discrediting the stock which works pretty darn good.
Strengths: This marker feels a bit more solid compared to a modified E-Shutter and the E-99. Comes with parts from the '03 Outkast cockers which shares the same barrel and drop forward. Chromed regulator which is the same one found on regular stock cockers that works pretty good with CO2 with less variations on the chrono. Flawless anodizing job that compliments ergonomics and size being a lot thinner in width and lighter compared to a Sniper Black Dragun. Accuracy was outstanding for a blow-back with a Smart Parts stainless steel barrel. Gas efficient with CO2 and Nitro using a 68/4500 close to 1200 shots and comparably same with the former. Mouse click trigger with a little slop and side play. Great finish and integrity overall.
Weaknesses: Loud yet performance is top notch. An aftermarket bolt would work wonders as usage would dig on the bolt after some time. On/off feature a little picky as the battery weakens so just make sure you have an extra. *Note: A little sear adjustment is necessary in order for it to cock and not go full automatic. Sear adjustment screw is located behind at the upper corner of the grip.
Conclusion: Kudos to WGP for creating their first jump in to the e-gun race. Aftermarket products could make this a potent marker in the $200 range as being a fully tournament legal, semi-auto only electric sear tripper. This is not something you just compare to an Angel, Matrix, Timmys, Bushies or Impys but it could give them a lickin'. Simple blow back design would be a good starting gun to even something as a back up for a sweet price of $180.

Strengths: Lightwieght

quiet
double trigger
drop forward
very nice regulator
Weaknesses: gun gets cold
Review: This is a great gun. I had a tippmann 98 custom w/ a double trigger and it was a very nice gun. I just wanted to get a faster gun w/o a response trigger or going full auto. I was able to sell my 98c and buy the E-Ranger.

This gun has the nicest trigger pull I have ever used. It is like clicking a mouse. I can probably fire nine shots a second. This gun has everything on it that I wanted to put on my tippmann:
1)Double Trigger
2)Rear Cocker
3)drop forward
4)A e-grip

The only problem I have had with this gun is that it gets extremely cold if you keep a grip on the regulator.
Conclusion: This is a great gun that you can get for less than $200. It is a great gun for new people, but good enogh to keep up with <$500. I would extremely recomend this gun for a player with any experience
