The first Tournament Level pump marker, the AM-P Illusion offers durability, precision, light weight, and great looks previously absent from the pump marker class. Stock Class and “pump curious” players will all love the low weight and smooth cocking stroke. The fantastic “Tattoo” style body milling also introduces a never-before-seen attention to detail neglected by manufacturers previously.
This Tournament Pump marker has been pitted in tournament play against high-end Electro-Pneumatic markers and held its own. Dual balancing pumping rods prevent jamming and maintain a silky-smooth stroke while cocking the AM-P Illusion. The light return spring in the pump handle ensures the bolt stays closed while firing without interfering with re-cocking. The Ergo-Pump Grip makes holding the marker comfortable while offering several options to the player for pump style.
Easily change this marker from standard to Stock Class or Super Stock configurations quickly with the Action Markers feed adapter and a 12g cartridge adapter.

Marker Setup: CCI 12-gram changer, 15rd stockclass feed

Upgrades:
for using Nitrogen or HPA, a good reg may be a necessity. Armson or Dye sight for tight snapshots. For all extensive purposes, the Illusion Pro has eveything you need right out of the box.
Strengths: dual pump rods.Very well built.Easy to change setup.Quick-strip bolt .
Weaknesses: Bolt can be put it upside down.Back block makes noise when gun is fired.
Review: Pros:
Accurate. Flexible air / feed options. Good number of shots per air source. Comfortable. Easy to aim without a sight. Looks good. Durable. Easy to field-strip to clean out from a break. Great customer service.

Cons:
Stock pump handle and beavertail have some rough surface edges. Pro only comes in one color scheme (black-red fade) unless custom anno in ordered. Bolt can be installed incorrectly. Slight "clack" sound from back block when fired.
Conclusion: After 12 years of shooting Sheridan pump markers, my skills had surpassed my equipment, and I needed something more. The Illusion Pro is definitely "more". A solid, accurate shooter that is easily upgradeable. It is easy to strip and clean, and is a head-turner on the field for pump and semi players. Being one of the first "new" pumps in approx. 10 years, it seems that AM took the best bits from most pump players favorite shooters, and packed them all into a single marker. Action Marker customer service is great, and they will address any issue or problem immediately. Depending on the options you choose, the Illusion Pro can be a bit pricey for a pump gun. But, if pump play is your style, and you want a marker that will never hold back your game, then this one will certainly give you far more in performance than you paid for it.

The factory barrel is still nice
Really good out of the box
Strengths: Well constructed
Great factory barrel
Easy to get new barrels (Cocker thread)
Weaknesses: High end=High price
Velocity adjustment hard at first....
Review: First of all I used this marker in a few games. I enjoyed it alot. It cost a bit for a pump. I have to say it was worth it though. I have gotten used to pumps with auto-triggers, but this does not have one. It has the ability to be configured for SC play, coming with a CCI 12g quick changer, and your choice of 10-15 round feeds. It has a Cocker thread on the barrel and an Angel thread on the neck. The feed neck they include is high calibur! You can put a hopper on it and it WILL NOT fall off unless you twist as you pull. The velocity is hard to adjust properly. It is very touchy. A little too much one way or the other and you're talking way different speed. For example a 1/4 turn might result in a +/- 30 fps, so you could imagine the effort to dial it in at first.

The pump stroke is very smooth, like a higher end pump. It has a return spring to help put it back in the ready position. The anodizing on them is first rate also. Using it in a game the only feature I didn't like was the center feed. Harder to aim...
Conclusion: It really doesn't get much better than this guys. If you are a true pump player, you might want to check this out.

PGP,AT-85,and a minimag, all of which I've used for years.
Marker Setup: Illusion w/ Ricochet 2k and nitroduck 88/45. Also stock class components.

Recommended
Upgrades:
Barrel maybe although the stock one is good so you really dont need to buy one.
Strengths: Great marker! Pump action is amazingly smooth and it has a return spring which makes it even easier. Accuracy is on par if not better than my At-85(ie extremely good). Action markers customer support is top notch. Very well balanced. Takes cocker threaded barrels so all the standard barrels fit. Can be converted to stockclass in under a minute. Can be used in both 10 and 15 round flavors or can feed 10 round tubes directly.
Weaknesses: Little pricey, you could get a sniper for less seems to be the main argument(but why would you want to?). No autotrigger, but you dont really need one.
Conclusion: I've had mine for a little over a month and love it. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. It's easily on par with all the top pumps(sniper/phantom/sterling/carter). The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because I got a first run model and it had a few minor problems which were quickly resolved(as I mentioned,Action Markers has great customer service). As with any marker its best if you can actually try one out before you buy one,but if you can't you won't be dissapointed.

Marker Setup: stock illusion pro. running a 12oz co2. soon to be running a hpa

Upgrades:
the only thing i recommend, is a 68cu hpa tank. besides being consitent, it puts the gun in a great spot. not too close, not too far.
Strengths: extremly high quality.
Weaknesses: -none really
Review: The marker came in a box with nice foam padding to ensure safe delivery. After picking it up, I noticed it was fairly light. I was expecting it to be on the heavier side. I first read over the instruction manual. Very detailed. 15 pages worth of info. This is a big plus. The first time i pumped it, i was amazed how smooth it was. The Dual pump arm's are a nice touch. After a few more dry fire's, I decided to try it out in the backyard. I used a 12oz co2, and some week old Worr paint. The marker was amazing. It's so smooth, I actually had to shake the gun to get balls to drop. Each shot went where i wanted it. Even with the small bore paint, it was pretty accurate. Then it was time to take it up to the feild. Everyone wanted to get a hand on it. :) There was no complaint from anyone who picked it up and shot it a few times at the target range. Then it was time to chrono. The gun was alittle bit jumpy, but it was an error on my part. I didn't follow proper procedure. After the chrono, it was finally time for the game. This is probably the most fun I've had with a pump. The smile on my face after the game let everyone know that it was awesome.
Conclusion: i am very pleased with this marker. from the moment i took it out of the box, i have been happy. extremly smooth pump stroke. very high quality construction. the ano job is very nice. i cant think of anything really bad to say. some people will say autotrigger is a must, but i dont like that feature anyway. you have to really see this thing to appreciate it. if you have the means, get one. you will not regret it.
