Manufacturer Description Subscribe to Reviews on this Product - Edit this Product Listing When we went to the drawing board for paint - we came up with a list of items that we would demand from any paint that we were going to self-title. A few of the items we were looking for was that we wanted a paint that would have an intense unwipeable fill, but a not paint that would stain or discolor skin and clothes. We wanted a shell that would be brittle enough to break when it hits anyone, but not break inside any marker. Another important facet is that we wanted a have a high quality paint and shell but with out an outrageous price tag. We think that if you try Nitro Duck paint, so will see that we were very successful in the guidelines we set to accomplish. Smakman Saturday, April 17th, 2004 Period of Product Use: 3 years 1 of 2 people found this review helpful. Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Similar Products Used: Dozens. Some better, some as good, many not as good. Marker Setup: Too many and too much to get into! Recommended Barrels: A medium to large bore. They seem to work fine in the A-5 Flatline too. Strengths: Strong shell, consistent quality from one batch to the next. Weaknesses: Fill could be brighter and thicker. Review: I have used this paint for the past 3 years and have sold hundreds of cases which were used on my premises and have had very little trouble with it. Many players choose to upgarde to First Choice ( another paint from the same company) but Nitro Ball is good paint for the price. Conclusion: Very good for the pices you can get it at. Paintball Experience: 2 years Similar Products Used: RPS Marbs and all stars- the greatest paint in the world RPS premium advantage, Powerballs are about the same as the Nitro duck brass eagle, viewloader are the worst diablo- have tried many brands but all are average Marker Setup: Black Spyder e-99 with shutter trigger frame, smart parts all american 2002 barrel 14 in, 10 inch freak barrel, 4500 88ci crossfire, 32 degrees drop forward, polished internals, and 12 volt revvy w/ xboard Recommended Barrels: Freak System that way you can use these unusually small bore balls Otheriwise something of smaller bore Strengths: very round never sticky nice fill stroing yet break on target Weaknesses: small- only fit in my freak hard to find Review: I don't know if the guy above me got a bad batch but all of my buddies and I use these and I have never had any problems. They are always round and they arent fragile like most Pmi and Powerball balls are. They are well priced and they have great colors and fills that arent wipeable. The only bad thing is that are hard to find if you don't have a local store that distributes them. Conclusion: I would strongly reccomend these balls to anyone. They perform well in both the hot and cold, and they never have dimples or any sort of distorsion. smartparts_mm Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 Period of Product Use: More than 5 years Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Similar Products Used: You name it I've most likely used it. Marker Setup: Tippmanns,Timmys and Cockers Recommended Barrels: any Strengths: Good fill and good shells that are very tough. Weaknesses: The fields around me don't use them Review: from their white box to their tournement grade I have never had a case that I didn't feel like I got my moneys. I swear that the best thing i've ever seen with this brand is the fact that It has the smoothest seams of any paint I have ever used and when you do a drop test the shell doesn't shatter is break useally in half. I have seen in a few case in the woods when people have hit a limb or small tree and the paint only splits in half and they have one half hit the person that they are shooting at. Which sounds like a luck shot but when it happens more that a few time it is pretty impressive. Conclusion: If you have the option to buy this at a store, do it. EnZo_13 Tuesday, November 15th, 2005 Period of Product Use: Less than a month Paintball Experience: 2 years Similar Products Used: Too lazy to list Marker Setup: Tippmann 98 Custom 8 Stage Expansion Chamber Double Trigger Rear Velocity Adjuster Rocket Cocker 2 Night Stick Barrel Upgraded Sears Upgraded Cocking Spring Upgraded Trigger Spring Daisy Red Dot Scope Halo TSA Backman Hopper Recommended Barrels: .689-.693 bore Strengths: Very very thick paint Nice shell Weaknesses: none that I have found Review: Very Very Very good paint. I consider it better than marbalizers. Great shell, even better paint. The shell itself is round and stays round almost no matter what you do to it. The paint is so thick that it is almost impossible to get off in and out of play, and this paint Will Not Break in your barrel! blackraven1425 Wednesday, August 11th, 2004 Period of Product Use: 1 year Paintball Experience: 2 years Similar Products Used: Various Diablo, RPS, Viewfinder paints. None stand up to this one. Marker Setup: Spyder Flash J&J Ceramic 14" Viewloader w/X-Board Recommended Barrels: J&J Ceramic Don't use an Ultralite with these. They'll break alot. Strengths: Excelent quality. Weaknesses: None I've ever seen. Review: Over the past year and a half, I've gone thru about 20 cases of this stuff. Never have I had a bad batch. I found 3x140 tubes sitting under my bed that had been there a year and a half (could tell by the color of the paint. they stopped selling the black-and-blue ones in my area, or everywhere, a long time ago) I went ahead and shot them in a quick game in my friend's back yard, and didn't have a single break. She sure did smell like rotten eggs afterwards, though. Conclusion: There's no comparison with another brand, this stuff is the best. Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Similar Products Used: Just like everyone else out there I have shot many different kinds of paint. I like EVIL the best but there are lots of good brands out there. Marker Setup: 2002 WorrGames MiniVertabrate-Boomy and Freak-Shocktech front-Kapp Ball Detent, Twisted Cocking Rod-WGP Hinget Frame w/flame trigger and cam adjuster-Shocktech SupaFly Bolt-RAT Valve-Bob Long Reg-Dye Stickies-68/4500 crossfire-12V Revy w/Xboard 2002 WorrGames Black Magic-Boomstick and Freak-Kapp high rise-STO Bolt-RAT Valve-Bomb 3way-KAPP ROCK- STO Ram-KAPP Volumizer-WGP hinge-MadMan Springs-Warped Sports Minireg-DYE Stickeys Recommended Barrels: I have a few Boomys and a Freak kit. Any paint needs a barrel to match it. Strengths: I don't think it has any. Weaknesses: It's garbage. Is that consise enough? Review: We used this paint at a new field that we were at for the first time. 6 guys on my team played and we all had major problems with it as did other guys that were playing with us. We had 2 Black Magics, 1 Vertabrate mini, a Bushy B2K2, a Spyder AMG and a Toxic Impulse and everyone was breaking balls left and right. A guy on the other team had a Dark Cocker (really beautiful marker by the way) and I don't think he was able to get a ball out of that marker all day. I wore out my squeegee with this paint. By the way, it wasn't just one case. We had three cases and the other guys had at least two that I can remember. Nitro Duck should keep making those awesome bottles and regs and forget about the paint. Did you ever see the seam on these things? They look like the dorsal fin on a fish. Huge! Well, I can see if a case was bad but 5? I've never seen that happen and I've been playing for almost 15 years. Back in the day there were only about 3 kinds of paint to buy and the worst of them at the time (ZAP) wasn't as bad as this. Conclusion: Based on my experience with this product if I was forced to use it again I would choose to sit out the day than go through the aggrevation of using this paint again.
