The Xcaliber Slayer SA Barrel has a unique bearing design within the barrel. There are eight separate bearings that carefully grip the sides of a paintball. The bearing system is self adjusting so there is no need to worry about what size paint you have. Simply put, perfect barrel to paint match every time you play. The best part is that there are no inserts to mess around with. The eight different bearings act like an insert and are permanently attached to the barrel.
The Xcaliber Slayer SA Barrel is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.
Anything as long as it's not dimpled, or terribly elliptical
Accuracy!!!, Looks really interesting, Interchangeable components (muzzle break, and rod housing), Shiny
Paint has to be round, can't shoot dimpled balls, takes a while to clean.
Really good barrel, got alot of comments at my local speed ball field about it, all good. Very suprised with the accuracy, and would love to customize it more but the components are very hard to find.
It's an excellent substitute for kits such as the freak, and empire kits.
Very Hard to find (Conceptual Design), won't work with an LPC, or front block.
Definatly worth the price, and wish it was more common. Hope to see more on the field soon, or not i want to win ; ).

any thing it fits and shoots all, it even shoots wallmart balls strait lol
accurate, looks cool, and did i say accurate
a bit loud but that's it
this is a great barrel, this thing could shoot over a football feild. It looks realy cool not like any thing else. It shoots as good as my freak and CP and mabea a lil better. It's a bit loud cus of the few holes on the barrel but that realy dosen't matter if the person already knows were you are. I have used this for a wile now and it's never chopped in the barrel and that's realy good cus all my others chop.
get it, find one on ebay or some thing for cheaper, even if you can't find one for cheaper, get it for the price, it's worth it!!!!!!!!
JJ Teflon, Tippman Flatline, ACi Zero Gravity Graffity, many tested
Tippman 98 Custom, Tippman E-Bolt, Low Pressure Kit, Palmers Stabilizer Male reg,
TechT Fang Trigger with magnetic mod and several other mods.
All sizes. They should not be too fragile or old and swollen.
Accuracy, nice look, rare, interesting system of operation
Relatively loud, air hog, big mess if a ball breaks
Just seeing the crowd looking at your barrel before you even fired the first ball over the crono is worth the money. The slayer SA looks very eye catching indeed. It is relatively short (around 10 inch) but this is not a problem with a long marker like the T98 is. The accuracy with any kind of paint is much better than other big bore barrels.
The SA has a very big bore and therefore your air consumption is relatively high. If you shoot mixed paint you have still high accuracy and only a very small change in fps (because its really big bore). The inner surface looks and feels very smoooth. The Bearings are not very smooth and may cause some paint to break in the barrel because they touch the paint with some force on a relatively small surface of the ball.
I used field paint most of the time (small size 684-686) with very good accuracy and no brakes in the barrel so far. But this paint is not brittle as tournament paint.
My e-bolt tends to chop balls even with low rof and after that happened the barrel doesnt shoot straight anymore even after cleaning it with a barrel sweeper. You have to clean the bearing chamber also to achieve high accuracy.
I repeat: No ball breaks caused by the barrel so far (about 3000 balls shot with it).
If you want to buy a Slayer SA from other players or ebay keep in mind that it will not fit newer Tippmann 98 markers because Tippmann changed the treads. I got one of the last Slyer SA 2004 and I don't think they produced any of them with the newer T98 tread. It definately doesnt fit the 98pro. You better try it on your Tippmann first.
I give it a 8 because it does very well what the advertisement says but it has its flaws that keep it from being a reliable 1 for all everyday barrel.
PS: Sorry if my English is not 100% correct. I am from Germany and try my best.
It is a nice idea that works ok. I would recommend it to all people who are interested in owning a special product but for reliability you should have a spare barrel with you because cleaning will take a long time. I usually used my JJ for the rest of the day and cleaned the SA later.
