Halo TSA
Polished Internals
Stock Bolt w/ removed Venturi
Strengths: Relatively Cheap ( $25-35)
High Flow
Comes with modified Valve pin.
Worked for me
Weaknesses: I have no complaints, but the Tornado Valve is supposedly better.
Review: This valve worked fine for me and allowed me to lower the operating pressure of my gun, combined with the other mods and upgrades, to roughly down around 350 psi. I did have to replace the o-rings to get it to work right, but come on guys, thats not really a big deal. I thought it was just as easy to install as the stock valve, you just have to put it in the right way. Since some people seem to be having problems with these, I would buy them from a place that has a warranty and not ebay.
Conclusion: Good, cheap way to lower the pressure of your Spyder. If you are spending $70 for a valve (like the tornado) you had better really like Spyders , or I think you are wasting your $ on a lower end marker-- that cash could be better spent on a better gun. However, the 32* is a different story and probably worth it, but only if you are going low pressure.

Just the stock valve and Pin.
Marker Setup: 2000 Shocker Turbo all the goodies, Back up is a 2k3 Piranha STS, Bob Long Torpedo Regulator, 32 degrees magna port turbo valve and Max Flowpin, STO Drop Forward, High Volume Chamber, pro grip frame.
Strengths: Very Nice craftmanship, Performs very well high flow rate.
Weaknesses: Made for a spyder and I have a Piranha clone I had to modify.
Review: Ok, This valve does work well but you need a regulator to get the full effect because the Chronograph say's it all. If you have a stock valve and want to go low low pressure say 280-300(that's low for a spyder and clones) this valve will help you get there by way of maximizing the flow rate by having a almost 2/3 of the valve open so it does not restrict air flow coupled with a max flow valve pin(the pin is grinded down where the air goes through the valve) making better air flow. I had to modify this valve to get it to work on my 2k3 Piranha STS by Drilling out the hole bigger on the valve set screw opening to get my grip frame on and it was a very very tight fit puting the valve in be careful not to tear your o-rings. I'm sure it will fit fine in a Spyder. With the valve installed I got my operating pressure at 300 Psi to shoot 280 Fps I may work with the spings and go lower but for now that's where I want to be. It's well made, easy to install (spyder) and does a dag gone good job at making a True Low Pressure Gun. Put a bit of Loctite on the valve pin threads that screw into the cup seal or it wil come lose and your gun will start pounding down.
Conclusion: Buy it!! Mine came with the max flow valve pin and I suggest that if you purchase the valve get it with the pin for a couple bucks more maybe 14.00 total valve and pin. If you do not have a regulator and don't want to go low pressure you may want this valve anyway because I think it will be easier to Chrono and flow rate will increase making it harder to freeze in cold weather.

Weaknesses: Brass cupseal
Valve pin (see review)
Review: This valve fits very tightly. Make sure you oil the orings before you try to slide it in. Dont be suprised if you shred a few orings, but thats what happens when you have a very tight fit. DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED CUPSEAL!!! It may be more durable than plastic, but it will not seal and you will leak like crazy!

My marker operates at about 350 psi with the help of this valve, and my efficiency is pretty good. I had a problem with the valve pin, though. It really is a double-edged sword. Sure, it gives you great flow to the ball... but it also gives to good of a flow to the striker (for me at least). I could not raise my velocity above 250 with the pin that comes with it. All of the gas was going into the recock, rather than the shot. Quick fix, put the stock valve pin back in and started getting good velocity. This may not be the case for you, if you need more energy put into the recock.
Conclusion: Overall, this is a good product. It enabled me to lower my pressure very well. My problem with the valve pin may not apply to everyone, so it is nice to have an option to use it if you need it. I will not dock points because of the pin design, just because it didnt work for me. It would be great if I were having recock problems.

Strengths: Cheap, effective.
Weaknesses: not the highest flowing on the market.
Review: This is a very good valve for the player on a restricted budget. I got mine for $11! You can't really get much cheaper than that. A stock valve if I'm not mistaken costs $30 from 888. As for not being the highest flowing, not that big of a deal. The maddman is higher flowing, but is $30. If you've got a small budget this is definately the way to go. It comes with the high flowing valve pin as well. A great upgrade for the LP marker.
Conclusion: Try it out, if you have problems, PM me. Or ask on the forums. too many people have given this product a bad rating, its not that bad. Cheap and effective. Enough said.

Review: Let me first say that to use this valve, like any other paintball product, you have to be smarter than what you're working with.

Just after I bought this valve, I checked reviews here, something I usually do before buying the product. When I saw the leakage complaints I got scared, but was confident that it was just either a faulty valve that they got or that the problem could easily be solved. When I got this product I immediately put in a stronger valve spring, for fear of leakage. I might add that the o-rings make it a tight fit on my rodeo during installment. I gassed up my gun and hsssssssssss came through the barrel. Then I cocked it, and less of a hsssss, then I shot it a few times and no more hsssss. This valve does not leak, at least for me.
Conclusion: On my low pressure setup (<300 psi) this valve does not leak with a strong valve spring. I don't know what they did wrong, but mine is fine. I give it a 9, because nothing is perfect.

Strengths: HIGH FLOWING
reduces operating pressure by a lot
cheap for compared 2 others
Weaknesses: Some small leeks here and there (with 2 low of pressure!)
Review: well at first i saw how there were a couple of bad reviews and i was definately leaning towards the New Designs HP vavle... so i went to the store that i go 2 and asked Ron if he could get me a valve...so he called some guys.. and i have had trouble getting the HP vavle in the past.. so we ended up going with this.. now i was afraid of leaks..but at high enough pressure( if u dont want 2 go too far low pressure.. like when u use an expansion chamber with CO2..SO EFFICIENT) it was ok... now that i have drilled out the VA it made a world of difference.. especially for low pressure...if u do have leek problems them go ahead and get a new cup seal... that is the ONLY problem with this valve
Conclusion: i think that this compares with the New Designs HP, Tornado, and Rocket valve(judging by the reviews i have seen)
this thing is high flowing and cheap... and like i said, if u do have leeks get a new cup seal or increase the operating pressure

Weaknesses: A little tight in the bore
Review: Very inexpensive,$4.20,$5.10,and $6.00 on e-bay.easy install, quick tip-put the valve body in the freezer for a couple minutes and heat the gun body up with a hair dryer. This will shrink the valve and swell the body just enough to litter ally drop the valve in position, once the temp equalizes, you have a tight fit and no cut o-rings.had no leakage problems and gun shoots well, just need some regulators now.Whens my bid up?
Conclusion: I give it a 10,does what it says, and just like any non-oem part ,fit and finish isn't perfect

Weaknesses: It's a hunk o' junk!
Review: I opened the new package and everything looked in order.
It has a super big cutaway so it should flow great in my low-pressure Spyder (125psi!!).
I put it together and notice it has a small nick on the main valve body where the seal rests but I install it anyway.
Goes in easy.
Put the marker back together and gas it up and.......... PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
It leaks out the barrel like a strainer!!!
What a pile of junk.
I double check everything and it's all good.
I tried it anyway. The leaking slowed after a few shots but it was still there.
I got better re-cocking at low pressures with my own custom milled valve!
It's a waste!
I got mine on ebay so warranty is a little out of the question.
I know my way around a machine shop and I can build a Spyder with my eyes closed so I know what I'm doing.
I'll just have to do some machining to fix it and it will be fine but I expected more.
Conclusion: Not impressed!
A waste of money.
Do some work on your original valve and get better results.
If you want to know what to do, email me and I will let you know.
I'm sure they don't all leak and the design seems alright so I won't give it a zero.

Strengths: Better flow than stock, relatively easy install
Weaknesses: Brass cup seal, expensive when I got it, better out there.
Review: I got this valve back in late '03 for my imagine. At the time, it was supposedly a good valve for the money ($30). I got it home, and dropped it right in. The brass cup seal on it is a piece of turd, so I swapped the stock seal onto the new pin. I did notice an FPS increase, so I guess it did outflow the stocker to some degree. As soon as I went LP with the gun, the valve just coudln't keep up. I had tons of problems and decided to toss it in favor of a Madmann rocket valve. I guess for a high pressure spyder, this thing isn't bad, or for those who want mild increases in performance without alot of effort. If you're really looking for a great LP valve though, look elsewhere.
Conclusion: If you want a quick drop-in valve for a realtively stock spyder, these can be had for cheap now. If you're looking for real performance gains, or for a good LP valve, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Weaknesses: -Large Bizzar cutout
-Leaks eaisily
Review: I installed this valve for a firend of mine and he wasn't impressed with preformance, he later swaped it out for a tornado

This valve does increase flow slightly but not by much. The large open cutout in the top is a joke. It doesn't change the diameter of the hole passing into the upper body tube. The fact that fully half of the valve is milled away leads me to doubt durability.

The included cupseal isn't the best either, leaking problems are frequent.
Conclusion: Useful if you manage to screw up your stock valve and need a cheep replacement, not much better than stock.
