Review:
Well I decided to write this review because when I was looking for info on this bag I could fine none. Like most system X products, they borrow someones' design and add their own touches. This bag seems to borrow heavily from the JT Large gear bag, at least in the pictures I have seen. You can fit two sets of gear in the bag which is good for my son and I.
It has three dividers with Velcro, although it appears you can put them anywhere, truth be told you can only put it together two different ways using all three dividers. It also comes with a bag that holds one marker, another accessory that holds 5 pods, and a small bag that appears to be liquid proof that I put oil, bug spray, and loctit in so it won't spill in the bag. All three accessories attach to the inside using Velcro, It helps stuff from moving around during transport and makes it secure.
The bag is well padded, and has quality material on the inside, and retains it shape when empty or without dividers. Which is why it weighs about 35 pounds. Also because of the weight it would be nice if there was a more comfortable shoulder strap or pad for the strap. The top of the bag holds garments with a see throu netting. It is domed and I imagine you could have two sets of clothes in there. I use it for gloves, towels, and my squeegees. With the vents it airs out very well and doesn't start to smell like a high school locker room. There are straps on the out side so you can buckle everything together tightly to reduce movement and knocking around of your equipment. Also there are 4 zippers pockets(2 large and 2 medium) on the outside that hold tools very well. Speaking of zippers, They are large and have straps on them for easy opening when you have gloves on.
When I got the bag and tried to use the telescoping handle it came off in my hands. Someone forgot to put the screws in and was an easy fix after I found some screws in the garage. Because of the dividers I find it difficult to store the markers with the tanks attached. So I remove the tanks from the gun when I done with the day. There are wheels on the bottom for moving around the house and on other hard surfaces. It seems pretty standard for todays gear bags even in regular duffel bags. But It is nice to know they are there, you only miss them with they not there.
Conclusion:
For $100 I think it a fair deal. The material and workmanship is quality, with the exception of the telescoping handle incident. I am just a weekend warrior type I don't go across country with my gear. But I imagine this bag would suit me fine if I did. I feel good about throwing it fully loaded in the back of my truck and I don't worry if I press hard on the brakes and it slides to the front of the bed. I give it an eight cause if I give it a 9 or 10 you won't read my review. A eight is what it deserves.
