The Shocktech Roller Sear blows away the competition in smoothness and performance. Our Sear utilizes two micro bearings. The first is located on the sear tip to ride along the Trigger Plate, the second bearing holds the Sear Pin to assure the ultimate in friction free action. The Shocktech Roller Sear also comes with a replaceable hardened tip. The hardened tip can be replaced instead of purchasing a complete new sear after wear down.
Product Availability
The Shocktech Roller Sear is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Strengths: Slightly smoother than regular sear, replaceable tip is sweet.
Weaknesses: Expensive, not much of a difference from regular sears
Review: I have a shocktech autococker with a single trigger frame and this sear. I'm not going to lie about how great this sear is because I spent a crazy amount of money on it when it really doesn't make a huge difference. Before I had this I had a stock autococker and to me the sear feels and works about the same. The replaceable tip is a great idea though. The only problem I had with this sear was installing it. They give you a sear pin with this and it wouldn't fit in my frame. It was a shocktech frame with a shocktech pin and sear and it wouldn't work? Well.. it took some time to make it fit but i don't understand why that was such a problem.
Conclusion: For me, this sear didn't live up to it's claim of making my trigger pull all that much smoother. However, the replaceable sear idea is great so it isn't a complete loss. This sear costs 60 bucks and for that you can almost get a hinge which will make a big difference in trigger pull. If you like single triggers though this may be worth looking into.

Strengths: Roller-Bearings, Durable, GREAT Craftsmanship, Maintenance-Free
Weaknesses: The Cost
Review: When I purchased my Dye "Double-Finger" Swing Trigger, I found out that I also need to purchase a sear and springs. I chose the Shocktech "Roller Sear" based on my previous experience with Shocktech products. I chose to use Shocktech springs as well, and the combination of the two was a "Match-Made-In-Heaven". Smooth, and Seamless, operation. No "Sticking", and no mis-fires due to "Lazy" springs. The construction of this product provided me with years of dependable, and reliable, operation. If I still used a mechanical "Swing Trigger", this is the sear I would buy. Afterall, if it's not broke, don't fix it.
Conclusion: Although this is the only aftermarket sear that I used, it was the best choice I made. I base that solely on my experience product, and stand by it. I give it a 9 out of ten.....due to the price (I paid $70 for mine, but that was back in 2001/2002).

Extreme Rage Omega bearing sear
Marker Setup: Sniper2s with many different 45 frames Dye's Benchmark"s etc
Strengths: The pull is much smoother now and it doesnt get rough over time
Weaknesses: Price, sear tip is rounded, sear angle not vert leads to sloppy trigger release
Review: its smoother than a non bearing sear, but you realy notice if you use a hard sear spring then the smoothness is greatly felt

I have 2 shocktech sears in my sniper2s VERY NICE, but i dont like the angle of the sear tip. I like the sear angle a bit more verticle, it makes the sear release more precise than if it were not as sharp of an angle. and when using an autotrigger the release point is very important for timing. Also the sear tip is rounded which adds to the problem.
Conclusion: For the price you pay and the reuslts i would try and find the normal bearing sears which are cheeper, just as smooth, yet have a better sear angle with a tip that is not rounded

Strengths: Works well on slide frames..
Weaknesses: Breaks, little to no effect on hinge frame
Review: I've been using the roller sear for only a short time now...On my hinge frame it makes an un-noticeable difference, not worth the money there. On a slide frame it makes the pull a lot smoother and easier.

A couple problems I ran into. One was the price. 60 dollars is quite a bit for a sear. The other, I found that the roller sear breaks. There is a small bearing that contacts the trigger, and it is quite fragile in how it's installed. When I received the sear it looked sturdy, but after less than a case of paint, it has broken on me. The bearing in the front broke both collars that hold it in. The bearing fell off of the sear and is now useless. The sear was nice while it worked, but now it's simply useless.

The sear pin that holds the sear to the frame fits a bit snug, but should slide through if you tap it in with a hammer, no big deal there. The set screw on the hinge frame holds the pin in place so you don't have to worry about it moving.
Conclusion: Works good on slide frame, useless on a hinge frame. Overpriced. It breaks WAY too fast!

Weaknesses: -price but its a roller sear and worth every cent
Review: As said, this is a great sear. unless u already have a VERY smooth trigger pull youll notice the difference this makes. some of you complain about price well its worth every cent and does more than a new front reg for the same money if you have the money buy it if u dont have the money...get it!
Conclusion: its great best sear ever it will improve your game and is well worth the money
