Imagine if your game timer could actually tell you how much time you have left before your game ends. Meet the VL Talkin timer, which uses the voice of Viewloader spokesmodel Chelsea O’Brien to do just that! This device gives you CONTROL of your game time, and the best tournament teams know if you don't control the clock - you don't control the game. The VL Talkin’ Timer features critical game time voice warnings, mute option for stealth play, a memory key for quick clock reset, and an game end auto shutoff feature to extend battery life. The VL Talkin’ Timer is designed to attach directly to the VL 9 Volt and 12 Volt Revolution Loaders for in your face and ear game play, for use with a lanyard or optional mask band mounting system. It comes complete with batteries, mounting screws and an exclusively designed VL lanyard. VL Talkin’ Timer - have time on your side.
Product Availability
The Viewloader VL Talkin' Timer is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Review: I used this product on a very limited basis due to the fact that the plastic is cheap. I purposely didnt over tighten the screw because it was plastic, and i didnt take a hard dive. I was just making my way to my bunker and it ended up at my feet. This product is very user friendly, easy to hear and see, looks great on the hopper(what short amount of time it was there), a is not in the way at all. I would like to get another one to test but am not willing to pay 30 dollars for another one.
Conclusion: I would not buy another one myself, but if it works for you go for it. I am not here to bash this product, it just didnt provide the service that I expected from this company. I would recommend you look at the quality before purchasing this item for yourself. Because of its ability to be user friendly and the good aspects of the actual timer, I will give this product an average rating.

The only thing that could compare to this product is the L.C.D. screen on the Ricochet 2K and Apache loaders. The View Loader "Talkin' Timer" is better than those, because it is sound-activated.
Marker Setup: I own (use) the following marker with the following upgrades/accessories:

Gun: Silver Tippmann 98 Custom.
Barrel (other than stock barrel): Black 14-inch Smart Parts "Tear Drop" barrel.
Loader/hopper: Blue Viewloader 12 volt "Revolution" loader (has an "X-Board" in it).
Special trigger: Response trigger (I own the stock trigger on my gun with the response trigger installed; it is a single-trigger with the response system in it.).
Air source: 20 ounce CO2 tank with a blue thread protector.

Other upgrades/ accessories that are not in use on this gun are a "Flatline" barrel and a "Double Trigger."

Even though it is not a marker, I have no where else to list what mask I have. I own a blue 2003 Dye "Invision" mask.
Strengths: - Compact.
- Sound-activated.
- Hits on the timer don't affect it.
Weaknesses: The View Loader "Talkin' Timer" doesn't have any weakness(es).
Review: The View Loader "Talkin' Timer" is a great asset to your paintball equipment. At most fields, the referees will not tell you how much time is left in a game. So, if you have the View Loader "Talkin' Timer," you WILL know how much time is left in the game. Knowing how much time is left in a paintball game is key. For instance, if there's 2 minutes left in a game of paintball that you are playing in, you should make a big move.

The sound-activation of the View Loader "Talkin' Timer" is great. It'll let you know how much time is left at certain milestones [I forgot what they were, but I think a voice tells you when there is 10, 5, and 1 minute(s) left]. It allows you to set whatever time you want for your hopper. It also has a "Memory" button, which will remember a certain time-set. For instance, if you play a lot of 20- minute paintball games, then instead of pushing the "Minute" button 20 times before you play, press the "Memory" button, and 20 minutes will appear on the screen. Press "Start,"and then timer will start.

One time, I was hit on the timer, and the paint covered the entire thing. I wiped it off, and everything still worked fine (I wiped it after I left the field, of course- I am not a cheater!).
Conclusion: There is not a thing wrong with this product. Unfortunately, at the field I go to, the referees tell everyone how much time is left during a game. That makes my View Loader "Talkin' Timer" a big waste at that field, but at other fields where the referees do not tell you how much time is left in a game, it is very useful. This product is excellent- I give it a 10/10 (100%, which is an "A" in these circumstances) for the Product Rating.

Weaknesses: can be a pain when getting shot
Review: Well a think it's pretty good, we had a mid player that had one and he used it alot and it helped alot. The whole time he was yelling out the time and before the game we decided that at certain times we would do something, the game was 10 mins, at 9 mins we would all shoot about half a hopper, at 8 minutes we would all run and shoot. and so on.
Conclusion: pretty good but only if you NEED it and then only about 1 player on your team that can yell really loud shout use 1

old school viewloader timer, a friggin watch.
Marker Setup: 2002 Shocker Vert Feed Vert Reg, Blade trigger, werm mod bolt, worr drop forward, freak, 12 v revy with impellar, 68 4500 fiber wrapped paintball wizard edition nitro duck tank.
Strengths: you get to here chelsea talk to you!that's right, the viewloader girl!
Weaknesses: my friend's broke off, mine's fine, maybe cuz he's a front player
Review: It's easy to use, memory button allows you to save certain time instead of punching in the buttons each game. You can mute it, for all you snipers out there, but bottom line is it's pretty cheap, it fits on your revy or eggo, or even on your back with a lanyard, and it does exactly what it's supposed to. It yells out the time left inthe game for you, periodically every minute, then at 30 seconds, then it beeps 10 to 5, then you get to here chelsea make the final countdown. so you don't have to look down and waste time on the field, and you know exactly when the ref is going to call GO!GO!GO! Takes a lot of stress out of 10 second burns. Held on your hopper by two screws, it's enough to keep it there unless you take a digger going into a hyperball bunker, if you're that kind of player then maybe putting it on the lanyard it comes with would be more helpful, either way, solid product.
Conclusion: If you're into this sport bad enough to need to know the time without having to look down at your watch, then this product is for you. could be a little stronger built, but it will get you above and beyond as opposed to not having one at all.
