Good grouping of shots at long range with the marker.
Weaknesses:
There is a slight loss of some gas efficiency.
Review:
The undertow technology behind the bolt works on paper and in practice. It was designed to give the ball a consistent spin axis thereby reducing the size of the shot grouping at longer distances. Its purpose is not to extend the range of the marker. A venturi bolt tries to push the ball evenly to reduce the amount of spin a ball has, which reduces the amount of force generated by the Magnus effect, which curves a ball off course. The bolt does what the designer says it will do. Plain and simple.
Conclusion:
The undertow is a good bolt delivering consistently tight groupings at the far end of the Angel's reach. Customer service out of Imperial is exemplary, and since I got the Undertow, the rest of the bolts I've picked up are collecting dust in my toolbox.

Review:
well, my buddy john got one of these and when we were testing it in my yard, he was really excited about the undertow technology and I bet him $50 it wouldn't work, I told him that the only thing that was going to make the gun shoot farther was turning up the velocity, guess who won the bet, Me! it's simple, pick up any physics book, I learned this when I was in like 8th grade. We put my gun up to his (and I have an Evil bolt and just about every upgrade you could have for an IR3, and my gun shot just as far as his, absolutly no difference, we were both cronoed at about the same rate.
Conclusion:
these bolts don't work, and to tell you the truth, the best bolt I have ever used Is the R-11 bolt but they just don't make those anymore, so I would recomend either the new style DEZign bolt or the Evil bolt, they work great, and will improve your efficiency. Save your self $30 and get one of the bolts in my "similar products used list" they are all great bolts.
personally I hope Imperial paintball should be sued for false advertising or something. these don't work!
